Mint Blue Wing from Bulletproof - Let the hassle begin...
So lets see where this all began.
On December 15th 2005 I ordered the Mint Blue Fiberglass Spoiler for the RX-8. At the time they said I should receive it within 2-3 months.
Well its been over 3 months and i've been constantly calling in to find out the status. So where is the wing now... NOBODY KNOWS!!!
All bulletproof can tell me is that it hasn't arrived in their Japan warehouse yet. So, that essentially means in 3 months Mint Blue couldn't make the spoiler. I really doubt they are that backed up.
So after it arrives to the warehouse in Japan...
then customs in japan,
then shipping accross the sea,
then customs in the US,
then inspection at Bulletproof Warehouse,
and then sent to me in TX.
Up to this point I've been pretty pissed with Mint Blue for not even making the spoiler. Well, now this is where the anger starts to shift...
So I call Bulletproof again today to cancel the order because as far as I'm concerned, the spoiler doesn't even exist at this point. What they tell me is that inorder to cancel I have to speak to Ben, the manager... "but he's going to be hard to get a hold of"... I guess im set for a big f*cking headache trying to cancel the order. Most companies can have good customer service when everything is going fine, its when there is a problem... that it really matters. I'll make sure to update and report how well BPA.com handles the matter.
In the meantime i'm going to call my ex, who's back home in Japan for the next few weeks, and see if she can call mint blue and see what is going on from there side. This should be interesting to hear.
Sorry for the rant, but i figure the exterior appearance section should be a good place to warn people not to get their exterior appearance purchases in the future.

I don't buy Kool-Aid
Well yea I say thats BS customer service too. I mean your a customer and your paying for a part + service. Call your CC and cxl the order. If you never signed a paper then it wont stand in court and your cc has to cxl the payment...

I wonder why nobody else who worked there could of told me this.
Well, anyway... i'll upate when I get more info.
Lazi, thanks for the help. If i knew you had the spoiler, i would of just ordered from you 4 months ago (4 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

i guess i missed getting on here by a day...good to see Ben got back to you though. i will be honest...we receive over 200 emails a day from all over the world and there are only 3 people who go through them all. some emails take 10 seconds, some take 10 days to get an answer. companies like mint blue are on a made to order basis normally and they only produce their product when it is intelligent for them to do(read:when there are enough orders to make it more profitable to product the product). unfortunately its very hard to get an answer from them as to when they'll decide that enough orders is enough. for example we've been waiting on a top fuel exhaust since october...even the sales people for the companies don't always know what the operations part is doing. that is the tough part with the smaller companies.

As soon as i get my wing gets on i'll be pretty much done with the exterior of the car. I'll do a new shoot at that time, and definetely an updated one in that exact same spot.

Freedom Costs a Buck o' 5
Sorry to hijack, but this is kind of relevant. I just recently ordered new wheels, and when they were two weeks late and after several calls to customer service with no one being able to give me any information or seeming to care, I called to cancel the order. That got their attention and they waived the shipping fee and took $100 off of the purchase price and gave me a tracking number that day to keep my business. These situations suck when you are going through them, but they turn sweet when they work out in your favor.
