Well, after about 2 months of having my MS kit some f*cktard decides to back into me. I'm going to have to have the front bumper repainted(after lots of work) and I was wondering if anyone got the paint code for the trim of the kit from Mazda yet. I did a good bit of searching but it seems that mazda won't give it up to anyone. I'm pretty sure that someone with a tit grey(omicron?) said that they can barely even tell a difference if there actually is one at all, can someone enlighten me?

 

Here are the Mazda paint codes for 2004 models:

Sunlight Silver Metallic Clearcoat 22V
Velocity Red Mica Tricoat 27A
Winning Blue Metallic Clearcoat 27B
Nordic Green Mica Clearcoat 27C
Titanium Gray Metallic Clearcoat 29Y
Brilliant Black A3F
Lightning Yellow Clearcoat A4J

Oh, my eyes are opened now. Another post in a similar thread stated that the body shop just needs to darken the grey paint, but I don't know the exact color code.

 

the color is called Gun Metalic, call mazda and see if they can give you a code. If not just have the body shop match the color, it wont have to be exact since the trim on the front bumper isnt touching the trim on the side skirt, so a close match will look fine (no blending needed).

To my knowledge mazda used the same color for the trim (the dark grey on the MS kit) as they used for the 2002 RX7 Spirit R in the Gun Metal color, so maby have the dealer tell you that paint code. Mazda uses PPG for the paint I think, maby you can contact them as well.

Here is a picture, it looks lighter in this pic than it does in pictures of the car outside that I have seen. Maby the lighting in this shot.

 

I also think it might be the same color of the BBS wheels in that photo of the spirt R and this photo of the RX8 MS wheels (in Gun Metal)

hey thanks guys...sorry i took so long to reply, as you can see from what my sig was...my account got hacked and they changed my password. But that seems like all I need. I've decided to wait until the end of winter to get it fixed cause I could always hit a pile of snow and then crack it again or someone might hit me. But anyways, thanks again.
