Mazdaspeed Spoiler / Wing Mounting Question

Hey all, I am considering a Mazdaspeed rear wing (perhaps in WB, or maybe in Carbon if I find one I like enough). I know that the Mazdaspeed spoiler fits in the standard spoiler mounting holes. However, I wonder if the lower wing on the Mazdaspeed covers the same AREA as the stock spoiler does. The reason I ask is that my OEM spoiler loosened slightly on one side and it slid back and forth and kind of mucked up the paint on the rear deck. It's not noticeable with the spoiler mounted, but I want to make sure it won't be an issue with the Mazdaspeed spoiler. If' the Mazdaspeed spoiler covers more area (obviously, as the rear wing goes across the whole trunk), that is fine too. The spoiler is expensive enough by itself, if I have to pay to refinish the rear deck, I might just take a pass. Thanks in advance.

Mazdaspeed lower wing base is wider than OEM but shorter.
If OEM wing left mark on, Mazdaspeed will not cover everything.

However, with some buffing, the marks are barely noticeable.

yup you'll see a fine line where the top of the old one was. Mine has it. I'll try and get a pic up for you tommorrow.

You can always pick up a little thing of touch up paint at the dealership for about $10. 27B is the color code for Winning Blue.

Hey guys, thanks for the info. Unfortunately, because my OEM spoiler has come loose and shifted back and forth, I think I would probably have no choice but to get that surface refinished. It wouldn't be a very large area but I don't think I could do it with touch-up paint. I suppose since I'd be getting the spoiler finished as well, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Hopefully not more than a couple hundred.

Patrick, if you could snag a picture that would be great (if not, it's not a big deal either of course) - I'll try to see if I can't get one of what has happened on my OEM spoiler also. Thanks!
