Well got it . it is not poor constructed but the billet brackets seem like plastic to me????? Kel what is your take on them. Honestly they look like either plastic or fiberglass but it is hard to tell because they are painted silver. The rest of the wing looks o.k. but the brackets are plastic. I am in shock.
what material are those brackets made of? are they supposed to be shiny or not? looks good though for the price. I found out the place selling the wing is local here in california. I emailed them asking if i can see it in person but no response yet...
You can't buy the brackets seperately from the real MS wing. Like I told Mikeb, I would expect the bracket section to be hard plastic for the price of the replica. For those that haven't seen the real one, it is shiny metal, not dull.
Did it include installation screws/bolts/etc etc? Instructions?

No instructions. But it had the Bolts, nuts, washers to assemble the wing to each other and the trunk lid. It is in my opinion very poorly put together. Kinda scared to put it on because it might rip off. Because of the plastic threads in my opinion might wear out and become loose and their goes your wing.
I would be tempted to make my own. Use these for the template, cut, grind, drill, sand and polish a nice set. You have to find a supply of stainless steel plating of the appropriate thickness first if you want to replicate the MS spoiler exactly. There are other alternate composite materials that are even stronger than steel that can be painted. I've seen aluminum plate that would work very well for doing this in that it is easier to work than stainless steel and can be polished to a nice bright aluminum, I think I would probably go this route.
Leegina? Is your's carbon fiber? How does the actual wing and lip look as CF? What did you pay for the CF version and where did you get it from?

I swear, D Menac 7 is McGuyver.. hehehe.. he can do just about anything. If I wasn't so inept with cars, I'd try my hand on it. The Brackets are the only real difficult thing to reproduce. Need some sort of crazy cutting tool. The other one you can just mold, and re-fabricate.
Crazy glue that sucker in case it flies off!!

well, atleast it came on time
outlaw was right--he guessed it would be plastic instead of metal brackets
I dont think the plastic will wear enough to rip and have the wing fly off
I can't believe the price difference is 600.00
Kel,
if that wing fits right on the car I'm gonna get it

Appearance/Bodykit, for SURE. I'm sure anyone interested in a mazdaspeed bodykit, or anyone interested in a spoiler of any type, would be interested in this. Maybe have a moderator throw a copy of the thread into the DIY section, but I don't think it'll get the exposure it deserves there.....
Thanks guys for looking into this & documenting so well!!!!
