The labor is not the most expensive part. Paint is expensive. I paid $80 for 1qt. of Win. Blue plus the cost of the clear. Anyway, I'm in. Let us know. I also was the buyer of the Mspeed skirts from Rosenthal off E-bay. Great buy and excellent fit.

i saw that ebay listing i meant to ask them why it was so cheap.
540 painted/shipped right ?
great find either way.
i just realized monday is a holiday so you know how the package carriers get around a holiday i will be lucky to see it next week.
im gonna start trying to carefully take my wing off this week.im also aware that i might have to paint trunk also we will see what marks/paint chips it leaves.
someone buy it from me

if im not mistaken the MS wing covers up the holes that would be left by the stock spoiler. thats one of the reasons why i really want the MS. if not plugging the holes cost an arm and a leg. for $250 i am DEFINITLEY in even if the quality is a little shoddy. i just hope they give us metal brackets instead of fiberglass or plastic brackets......that would really suck.

it cover up the stock holes but when you remove the oem spoiler the marks from the top part of the wing(top point )
rips paint off i guess cause of the adhessive used by mazda or dealership. ive seen it on a rx8 i forgot his name but i know he posts here and has pixs of his car here.
what im planing to do when i get spoiler before doing anything is seeing if its functional and how it will hold up.im actaully thinking of installing and driving one day with it on the car just to see before body shop get it.
ahh who am i kidding i might just be too happy so just mount then get painted asap

What did you find out about the company? Are they in the US? Are they the manufacturer? What about a warranty? And I presume it is FRP ... any word on that?

the ms spoiler will cover the holes and any mess left from the stock spoiler since the ms one has a lip on it.

also the stock spoiler takes 5 minutes to remove

its only four screws

The mazdaspeed side skirts came painted. I hope Rosenthal has an overstock of other MS stuff also, haha.
I may just go ahead and order the replica spoiler as it cannot fit as bad as the EVO 8 style I tried looked.

curious how fiberglass will hold up compared to the origianl ms spoiler plastic material. with air flow on the car at higher speeds (60+...) will it be suitable for the car...without cracking, twisting, or bending?

Cannot wait to see if this is decent quality as this would be one of the items I have been wishing could be made for considerably less.

I just ordered some MS style side skirts unpainted from a place last night for $137.25 but they cost $130 to ship to a business from this place: http://www.raceonusa.com/index.asp?P...S&Category=426

Their clam?
RACEON FRP AERO PART
Professional motorsports quality bodywork constructed from Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) construction offers high quality fit and finish.

So far they seem like a decent online business as they are located in CA and they have a phone number and address. They also replied immediately (automatic e mailer) to my order processing. They are made out of fibergalss which I have no problem with at all for a part as such. I would be a bit leary of a larger part such as the MS style nose since it is much larger of an area or the rear. They are offering the whole kit on e bay for $399. It costs the same $130 to ship a whole kit as it does just a portion. I like the front MS style but wouldn't want to get it in fiberglass, just my opinion.

I know with the side skirts and/or the MS style spoiler offered at this other site, I am going to look into seeing about some way to reinforce this material. If the MS style Spoiler wing is hollow, as I suspect it is, there should probably be some holes accessible from the bottom side of the wing other than the mounting holes. If not, I would possibly drill a couple so that I could fill the cavity with expanding foam so as to reinforce the internal area and also give the outside the ability to withstand a bit of force without allowing total puncture in the case of any unforseeable problems. Expanding foam is light weight and lends itself to filling cavities well. I haven't seen the way the side skirts mount yet, but I may be reinforcing them with some aluminum meshing and then adding a bit of fiberglass resin and cloth over the top of that, sort of sandwiching this aluminum material in between the original fibergalss and the new. Also I will be thinking about using the expanding foam somehow on the side skirting if at all possible.

I second that, no way it's the Mazdaspeed spoiler... most dealerships don't even know how much the Mazdaspeed kit cost.

One dealership told me it's an aftermarket kit that I have to get somewhere else, Mazda doesn't own it he says.. uhh..
