maybe i have to see it in person to get a real good view of how it blends in on the car...but does the silver/aluminum parts of the spoiler bother you? have you considered maybe getting it spray painted black?

It really looks good in person, evryone who has seen it loves it... As far as the silver, I love it silver; really goes well with the black and all of the other silver accents on the car...

THANK YOU!!!!
I"VE BEEN WAITING FOR BLACK RX8 MS Spoiler pics!!!
I'm ordering it VERY SOON.
Questions:
1. why is it like a doubled up? it has the base part and then the spoiler.. just looks weird, don't you think?
2. is there any way i can get it for the same pric eyou did?!

monte: Your welcome, The spoiler really looks nice, it is very well made and strong… I believe that the lower spoiler provides several functions and one of them is aerodynamic. The other is to cover up the upper wing support brackets and just finish up the install. I know that unlike other spoiler manufactures Mazda designed and tested this spoiler in an actual wind tunnel; the lower spoiler looks like it cleans up the laminar flow that would normally be very turbulent coming from the air that is directed under the wing and forced over the rear lip of the trunk...
A far as pricing, I do not want to get into the parts business, so just use my price as a good indicator of how much the vendor is marking things up. I believe that in most circumstances they are entitled to some profit as they are providing a service and do have expenses, just don’t get ripped off…

Actually if you take into account the quality, the fact it was exclusively designed for the RX8 by the manufacturer to be functional, comes painted to match the car and is very light weight; then it is not a bad price at all... And the fact that it is a little pricey will make it somewhat exclusive.
One other thing if you compare the rest of the Mazdaspeed body kit with the others available on the market; none comes close to the fit, finish and quality of the OEM kit… When you further consider that they come very nicely painted to match, the argument against becomes even weaker...
But in the end it is always just a matter of taste, budget and opportunity…

I'm getting close to getting one of these (cars) and you've done exactly what I want to do. Actually, I MAY consider the MS side skirts as well...I'm just not sure about that yet. I'll probably do it in silver too. Great look though, I do love that spoiler.

Thanks, bureau13... It is a great car and I highly recommend it to anyone... The only other thing that I will be adding this weekend are the front mud guards, I like the MS side skirts but did not want to bring the whole side of the car down visually... I am also in the process of designing some two piece splitter templates and am going to have them custom fabricated out of carbon-fiber, they will look something like the small black extensions found on the Mazdaspeed front bumper, understated but a nice detail... And finally the last detail to the exterior will be the 19” HRE 547r wheels…
