I searched for the answer on the forums, but couldn't find one. I hope that i'm not repeating.

I just got rear ended earlier today and the damage is on the bumper itself.

My question is, does the MazdaSpeed rear bumper give you an entirely new rear bumper, or does it just replace the plastic molding on the bottom of the original bumper?

Also, does anyone know where i could order the OEM stock rear bumper? Or will I need to go through a dealership? Again, I've already looked but couldn't find a site that sells the stock bumper.

MS only replaces the lower portion of the bumper, not the whole thing. You can try some of the vendors here to get an idea what a bumper would cost.. i'm thinking shipping would be a ton. Nothing wrong with calling up a few local dealers and seeing what they would charge you.

The guy who hit me felt really bad and I don't want him to have to pay too much. The damage is really just a few scrapes... The dent mainly just popped back in, you can't really see it.

 

If the bumper isn't that bad it maybe fixable, might be cheaper to fix and re-paint.
