Appearance package front Lip

has anyone ever painted their regular appearance lip a diff. color? i have a VR rx8 and kinda wondered what it would look like if i painted the lip black

thoughts, feelings about it

im sure it wouldnt look bad at all. but then someone will most likely say its a cheap version for a LEG carbon fiber lip.
