mazdaspeed kit , how much clearance ?
Did a search on this and nothing came up , but how much clearance does the mazdaspeed kit leave on the rx-8 ? Cause I am thinking of getting some springs that drop it 1" , and was thinkin damn .... gonna be pretty close to the floor ? 8/ Anyone know how much clearance is left ?
A few of our forum members have the kit with springs installed. RXHusker is one of them. Wait, I think he's on coilovers. I can tell you that on my ride, AutoExe kit and coilovers on 19s I've got about 4" of clearance in the front. I rarely have difficultys with steep aprons and never had a problem with speed bumps. The secret is to approch opsticals at an angle as apposed to straight on.

No. I don't think you'll be scraping on speed bumps. I can go over those straight on with out a problem.

wow thanks for the info everyone, I think I'll leave it stock height with ms style kit for now. Maybe later I'll add some springs and MS shocks. Thanks for the help everyone.

Amen to that! You'll have to get to know whare the front of the nose is. A good marker that I use is If I can line up the parking block in the space next to me with the bottom of my side mirror then I usually end up with about a foot of clearance from the parking block.
