I think I was one of the first to get the Mazda gas door.it was released may 3rd I have to say I was some what disappointed with the design.It was not as it appeared in the photos. the fit is poor.
anyway it is a mazda part and for all those talking about the fuel needs it is labeled just like the original use high octane only.

still I wish they could have made it more like the pictures they promoted. like a motorcycle cap not just a door to the plastic cap.

I guess after looking at it all day I'll leave it on.

 

im confused is this the one mikeb has and some on the forum
the one that canzoomer has or is this a direct from the dealer on all new rx8 ?
i like the look whats the problem with it ?

this is a pic of the mazda door they promoted for the last 6 months. it is not what Mazda is selling!!

and for all interested the cheapest price I have found is at Rosenthal Mazda for 84 bucks.
too bad for me I preordered it in January from mazdastuff in Huston TX for $125 as canzoomer and japan parts.com wanted over 200 for what is not a Mazda part(really don't care about it being oem) but I thought it would be like the miata part maybe even nicer........anyway here's the pic of what they said I was buying

i see the difference Stras. i am bummed now because i was thinking of getting that cap as well. oh well
