Make Titanium Tips?

Does anyone know how to make Tiatanium Tips for their exhausts? I have an HKS Legamax, but I was thinking about adding the titanium look to the tips. Can an auto paint shop do it and how much? Tried searching but I may have overlooked due to my time on internet is limted cecause I'm deployed. -Thanks

Hey guy...are YOU serious for saying that??! All you or anyone had to do is just reply with some advice. Not some random comment or smart remark. What you need to do is stop yourself for replying in such ways because your grammer is a little off.

My Grammar how about your spelling

Ok, my advice is stop being so cheap and go buy some damn Ti tips or a new exhaust with Ti tips. Painting your tips to match will probably not work because of the heat and potentially look really stupid.

or the fact that to get that rainbow finish, you need to expose titanium to a high temperature. no paint involved.

if you really want that titanium look, youll need to buy titanium tips (most exhaust stores will have them), cut off the old ones and have them riveted to the exhaust (since you cant weld titanium without a special welding process)

In all seriousness, I think the easiest way to do what your saying is to see about getting some 3in (or slightly larger than your current tips) titanium pipe and just having it sleeved over your current tips and held on by three screws (like the cheap-o rice tips you see from Autozone. )

But because of the curved exhaust of the 8, it may look pretty stupid, but its def. worth a shot to get the same look on a budget. But titanium pipe is pretty expensive also...

Agency Power titanium exhaust tips. They are for the GT-R but just mod them so the work for the 8

From their blog

These come as a set of 4 and are slant style tips. 4.5″ in diameter and 4.5″ inches in length at the longest point of the slant, these illustrious looking tips will bolt up to your factory 2.5″ Exhaust system.

you can tig weld titanium with no problem but to get the true strength and quality with out all the coloring it has to be tig welded inside a atmospheric bubble full of gas. i think with a exhaust you can get away with just a tig weld. but the above product looks good without all the hastle

you need to buy real titanium tips, you can't just paint it on.
