Light Kit and Bulb ?'s

I'm thinking about getting a green underlight kit for my red Rx8, what do you think of the color choice? Also I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the map lights/dome light inside the car? Can't seem to get them out

... no underbody glows please. they don't look right.

as for the dome light, just get a flat head screwdriver and pop out the lense at the edge. there is a small opening for it.

as for the maplight, there is a metal clip on the sides right around where the button and lights are. you'll need a flat screw to push it and pop it out.

Make sure you have a seperate switch for it.

You don't want it to come on with the lights every time.

Where do you get the bulbs for the map lights and dome lights? and what about those lights on the doors? they look like they would be tough to get out.

no man, none of those things are hard to take apart at all... just read the manual on the directions of what to use and how to take apart the specific plastic pieces you want off to get to the lights... I've allready done the whole LED conversion thing, and used a website, cost me about some 50 bucks with shipping to get all the interior, exterior possible lights that I could convert to LED.

site : http://www.superbrightleds.com/

LED BULBS & PRODUCTS >>> 12 VOLT CAR BULBS >>> Miniature Wedge Base Bulbs

All the possible lights that you could change ext. and int. are in that section, except for the dome light. >>> festoon

I did red interior, and white exterior lights (including license). I plan on doing a neon under body kit at some point... Although I'm sure for saying that I'll get bashed... Let me save everybody the pain and atleast say that it will have a body kit and some work before I think about neons...

body kit or not... you do not need an underbody glow.

Did you use the WLED bulbs for your map lights and all the interior ones excluding the dome light? i looked at the cross reference and it says that series replaces 2825 which is listned for the map lights, license plates, courtesy lights, and trunk light.

ya, i'm actually buying 10 white ones right now, because my damn stealth bulbs (which are LED) keep on going out... anybody got an explanation? it takes them about a month to go out....

Ya, the 9 LED ones can fit in the door, and the 6's can all fit in the map lights.

I use the 5 LED for my side marker so the light is dispersed, and the 6 LED for the stealth bulbs... But every month the I've been noticing the stealth bulbs go out... They start with the incessant blinking, I've just noticed one of my front stealth bulbs gone out today...

oh ya, about the underbody kit... My car's yellow and the only color I'd put under my car is yellow... And to me, I wouldn't mind investing some money and time into this project. Even though I know how ricey it is, I think I got the car that'd be good looking enough for people to actually look and enjoy it unlike alot of the other crap I see on the road. And ofcourse on/off switch... I still ain't no fan of ricey...
