One thing you might want to be careful of with retrofit kits is that when you click your hi beams the lows go off. Then you click the highs off and the lows have to hot restrike which can/will kill your bulb and/or bulb life. If you can rewire your lows to stay on with the brights you would be golden.

I thought that halogens and HIDs require different projector lenses. Hmm.
Someone said that 10,000K would be brighter! NO! More color, less bright white light. May look COOL to oncoming taffic, but crap for lighting up the road in front of you.
What temp do the stocks burn at?
By the way, and this just my opinion, but our stock HIDs look very nice to oncoming traffic and have a nice flicker to them. The look of the stock HIDs on this thing are the last straw that made me get the 8. I remember going to the dealer. They pulled the car around, and parked it facing the windows surrounding the dealership. The first thing I did was turn the headlights on. Had to make sure I was not getting halogens.

Stock HID... someone told me that before...
There is no official figure (*I think). Someone will find that for me. But professional mod shop comment that it looks like a 4000K.

For those of you with aftermarket HID upgrades... Do you have problem with headlight warning light coming on [like what happens if you do aftermarket HID on a European cars].

The Phillips d2s bulb is 4200k, your 8000k light is just barely bright than a standard halogen. Our HID's aren't as good as BMW & Mercedes HID becuase they don't distribute light as good through the prism. They are nice, but not the highest quality. Your kit is just a bright light that is blue and is a cheap attempt at the realy HID lights. I had a similar set to yours on my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon.
