Wondering if anyone has fitted JDM mirrors to their 8 ? I have the heated mirrors and got a pair of JDM mirrors and swapped over the heated glass and wiring in to them. I have the JDM door wiring harnesses I plan on pulling the 2 pink wires out of them and putting them in to my door wiring harnesses, I was wondering if anyone knows if the wiring would be in the main loom or I would have to add a wire to connect the right mirror/switch to the passenger mirror?

The wire for the motors that fold the mirrors in or out does not exist in the us doors.

I did the same thing you are going I ended up connecting the motor wires to the defroster control since it never frost were I am located.

I ended up figuring it out, I used the drivers side loom from a Jap spec and added in the wires for the heated mirror wiring from AUS spec, the mirrors actually get their power from the switch, all you need to do then is run 2 wires (2 x pink) from the drivers side loom to the passengers side loom and then add the 2 pink wires in to the passenger side loom, I got all the wiring from a JAP spec that was wrecking locally so it's all factory wiring.

Trying to do this right now myself. Mirrors installed, when I wire up the switch it blows a fuse. I ran my own wires as I wasn't going to try to source a jdm harness. Any help would be amazing. Your video seems to no longer be available. Thanks!

 

Fold mirror switch and wiring are the same as same era toyota's.
JDM don't have heated glass and use pin puts for folding, irony I have a pair with wiring colors matched to my car,
I believe the last tie I checked, the socket has an empty slot to add more pins, hence can have both power fold and heated as custom made.
Ps. I have prodive PZ mirror at moment
