Thumbs up Installed Front and Rear Splash Guards

Just got and installed the Front and Rear Splash Guards. Took only about 30 minute to do them. Note If you are going to add stakes, suggest you do not remove sticky tape on the front guards.

They look good. Now to see if the are functional as well. Will have a set of them if the don't reduce the road splash back.

Glad to hear is was a quick install. I have the appearance package, but I have recently ordered the front guards because I like the finished look it gives with the rest of the trim. I won't install them until the spring after I can give the car a good detailing. Pics?

nice job, you install pretty quick.. I had a "dilemma" so took a while, but I got help from here and finished it before dark. Gotta say, the front guards look nice from the side, and I love how the rear makes the car look wider in the back. Post up some pics man!

Question

Dumb ? here... Do the rear splash guards attach with double-sided tape and some screws? (like the fronts do?) I got the front splash guards and was wondering how the rears would look. Here is a pic of my front splash guards in black.

No. They use existing Bolt that attaches the rear bumper right behind the wheel on the bottom and an addition two more bolts that come with the kit along with nut insertsat the notches you have to remove from the finder insert guard. Need short philips to remove the clips. Very limited space between tire and clips. Same true for tighting the new bolts. If you have correct tools, it will take about 10 minutes to put them on. Really hard to screw up, even if you try really hard.

I plan on buying my rear splash guards from my local Mazda dealer and Miata club sponsor. Same price as Trussville - the shipping

Yours of course. I noticed from the pics above they're not stock anymore and finding rims for a Yellow 8 is simple.

Thanks for posting that pic. It helps seeing it on a real car not a flat pic of a car on a dealer website..

Anyone off the street would be hard pressed to describe what is different if you had rear splash guards, then upgraded to rear aero flares. They are very similar, yet the aero's cost about double.

Not worth it
