How Much $$ for those silver side thingys

Hey Guys -

Just completed first three days of ownership and managed to get 333 kms on the car already. Not bad... only a week or so until I can complete break in... COME ON!!!!

Anyway, I'd love to buy those Silver Mazdaspeed things that go on the side of the car over the black vents. (Does this make any sense)? Local dealers are closed and I'm just curious if anyone knows what those will cost.. or if there is an alternate place to order them from rather than paying whatever ridiculous amount of money mazda will want for them.

Another like I love about my car... I've only seen two others in 3 day. I must have seen 1,000 BMWS and Mercedes... and 350Z's in that time. Not to mention G35's.

BTW... 8-2 Red Sox!!!!!

RX8 Fun sells them.

They are reproductions, but they are just as good if not better than the origionals. $109 bucks and 7$ shipping it looks like for the standard finish. Optional finishes +$20.

The members Derwankel and D Menac 7 are selling their versions of the side strakes for less than half of what Mazda charges, and they even make them color matched to your car if you want. I just bought a set of red ones that are a dead match of the Mazda versions.

Check the "exterior appearnace" section to learn more.

Hey,
$195 USD if you buy the Mazda parts. I purchased mine from D Menac 7, should be here soon and I can't wait. If you want the original Mazda parts, click the link below. I have purchased from Rosenthal before and found the service great.

The strakes we make are made with a polyurethane resin. derwankel and I are partners in the vendors forum under the name RX8Fun. Just click the banner at the bottom of my post that has our forum name anf it will direct you to the post that describes what we sell and and make ourselves. We do custom strakes in colors and designs as well as the "silver side thingys" that you entitled this thread.

As for how much, it depends on what level of customization you are wishing to have. Even the most customized of the lot is much less than the OEM aluminum ones tjhat Mazda makes. The side strakes we make start at $89. Ours are just as good if not better as they only sell aluminum ones. Tecnically they are named Side Vent Garnish but everyone here calls them side strakes.

We also offer other things that are copies of the OEM products and a few that are original items custom built for our RX-8s. We are not only manufacturers of the products we sell, we are actual RX-8 owners so we know the demand for quality that RX-8 owners desire. There are other items that will be coming out as we are both working on new designs and items, so check us out from time to time when you get the urge to splurge, to make your RX-8 unique amongst the pack.

Check us out, you will be glad you did.
