Hoodpins for C/F Hoods?

Are hoodpins required for c/f hoods?
Anyone with a c/f hood answer this one? Thanks.

no need for them...the stock hood latch will hold up just fine..depends on the quality of the hood though.

1) how can i tell which brand a CF hood is? my friend has one for sale he got off the internet...but he can't remember which brand...and it doesn't have any markings on it. it's the same style as the oem hood, if that helps at all.

2) also, today i was lookin at a co workers CF hood...and it's all cracked cuz someone put it up on the factory hood arm...he said you can't put CF hoods up like that...is that true?

1. vis hoods have a small riveted badge on the inside of them. not sure about other brands

2. negative on that, your friend is a tool.
