Nice first prototype, I like the effort but for my its not thick enough IMO, reminds me of the Turbo Beetle flip up wing.

I'd be VERY interested in getting one of these! I've been wanting a roof spoiler for my 8 since the first day I bought it. I think you should wrap it around the rear window a little more kinda like the ones you see on some 240's. Agreed on making it thicker too.

I unfortunately have been way too busy to upgrade my roof spoiler, but the prototype is still on the car and I will now seriously focus on making V2.0!

What other materials do yall think I should use? Lexan is kind of a bitch to work with, and is very hard to bend/shape/mold. So gimme ideas and I'll do my own research as well!

Heres some pics of what I was thinking on it wrapping more around the window. Dont know if it's actually possible.

Im sure it could be done. I just need to learn how to work with and mold fiberglass. Especially to make it hug the window like that.

Fiberglass is very easy to work with. I started messing with is a few months ago and feel like I can craft anything together out of it now.

Nevermind, I found a good source.

Now, what would you guys prefer? Should I paint them or vinyl wrap them? I figure id take a poll and let you guys decide.

Definitely paint. I know i'd want mine to be paint matched to my car, cant speak for everyone else though.

Lol, true. I'm the exception - i'd rather finish cars than take on other random projects and become one of those "i've tried to finish and hate to sell but i need money and less projects" guys i buy my projects from on craigslist. You know the kind

aka owning 2 FC's and 2 Rx8's
