Help repairing a small crack in my MS bumper

Yesterday I had my MS bumper off and noticed a small crack along the bottom which is completely invisible when its installed. I don't think its a big deal but I don't want it spreading. Does anybody have any experience using plastic adhesives to mend these bumpers?
In the pics (don't know why the plastic under the paint turned orange since yesterday) you can tell the front of the bumper is fine. Since the crack's on the bottom I don't really care all that much about appearance/repainting it, I just want it to be structurally sound. Thanks in advance everyone

I could be wrong, but unless its a replica you can't fix it.

I believe the material its made out of is extremely durable but can't be repaired.

Maybe someone else with more knowledge on body work can chime in though.

I use this stuff at work, should work fine on that. It can be pricey. You MUST use a backing patch for reinforcement with it and the adhesion promoter. Any auto body parts store should carry it.

It is authentic, a material called metton if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for the input 05rex8. It looks like I might need to consult a professional...there's a guy I've used in the past for minor paint touch ups that probably has access to those kinds of products.

funny, I have a crack starting to spread on the bottom of mine too. I think I'll have a bodyshop take a look when I pull the bumper for my turbo install.

Wonder if its a common problem?

On bikes I used a 2 part liquid/powder mix stuff. I forget the name so i guess i'm not much help but you should be able to call any sport bike shop and they'll be able to tell you what it is. I always just called it motorcycle plastic glue it's mircale stuff. I used it on all kinds of parts that were subject to all kind of stress and vibration. i.e. racing conditions and wheelies. I used it to repair everything from cracks in the upper fairing to fixing large holes in the body that were ground away by sliding on concrete. The stuff is so strong in the next crash it would break around the repaired area. very easy to use and apply if you find it before I do pm me and i'll give you a few pointers.

found it! http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/p...Crepair%2Ckits the kit I use is alot cheaper all you need is the liquid and powder compounds forget all the other stuff. I think $30 was the price

ahh found it on ebay for $32 search plastifix-same stuff
BTW this just goes to show vendor mark up

I've never had to deal with this type of body work so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but should I sand in and around the crack/tear to get rid of all those little jagged edges, or should I just apply the adhesive as is?
I appreciate the help everybody. The more I look at the damage, the more I think an adhesive would work just fine.

I sand cracks with an 80 grit sandpaper, helps it to adhere better when scuffed up like that
