Unhappy Help me make my car better!

I'm 18 with of course a small amount of funding. I have a 07' sport black 8 with limo tint so its dark but i have no skirts no sun roof no spoiler nuthin ...I'm painting my calipers red i need suggestions for some do it yourself easy cheap ups so i can boost my pride a lil! So anything you've done that you think has made your 8 just a bit better than someone else's hit me up!!!

Clear corners... Takes 5 mins to install -- cost about $90
Upgraded strut bar... Takes about 20sec --- cost about 120+
Cold Air Intake... Takes about an hour (easy install just read directions) -- cost about 200+

These are simple less expensive mods that can make your car stand out over others.

a big drop + all stock no appearance package is pretty sexy.
i'd say rims, but i'm guessing that's too much money. so maybe some good quality spacers to flush out stockers.

Found the look I was talking about.

Get some silver vents and some strakes. I have a black 8 and I did it so you can check out my pictures to see if you like the idea. I have had a lot of compliments on my chrome strakes.

It really depends on how big your fund is. If you several hundred dollars, just save it up for MAJOR mods. If I had to do my mods all over again, I would do the exterior mods first (wheels, aftermarket bodykit, springs/coilovers) and then worry about performance stuff later (exhaust, intake, pulleys, struts, sways, etc.) Eh, but for me, I really don't care about performance since I don't track/auto x.

That surprisingly looks really good. But anyways theres a million things you can do it just all depends on what your looking for first, performance (i.e. cold air or strut) or looks (i.e. spoiler, parts of the appearance package, or simple stuff from rx8strakes.com).

Basically just do your research and find what works for you

Whatever your little heart wants. I went with exterior because is something you can at lease see . Performance wise there is nothing that will make this car really move , unless I tide a couple of rockets up on top of it . FI not interested , I just don't trust them .......Warrenty ..........

IMO best bang for the buck to boost your epenis. Buy some Tein S Tech springs. About 220 shipped. Rent a spring compressor for $3-6 a day from a autopart store. Have your buddies come over and spent the afternoon installing. I can give walk through assistance or plenty of people here can help walk you through. Your basic craftsman set of tools is enough to do this swap.

A nice drop on some legit springs is a good start. Above 2 bills for the most part, but definately worth the money. Strut bars, strakes and clear corners are nice, but the price isn't some of the time...At least w/springs you can see and feel the difference.

To be honest I hate these threads. Here's why and I'm not trying to be a grumpy old man...

You are 18 and are living in the now. You haven't grasped the concept of money and how nice it will be to have later on in life and most important of all the benefits of compounding interest. Put as much money as you can now into a Roth IRA or IRA. By the time you're 40 (because you will be someday) you'll be comparing your retirement (because you will someday) savings with your friends and smiling about how you can leisurely retire much sooner than they can. This crappy market is giving you the BEST opportunity EVER to invest. Don't delay.

You have a great car. It needs nothing for your everyday cruising and fast cornering. Learn to drive it for what it is. Instead of throwing needless money at it, save it for something better...

naaah for the $250+ the short shifter costs you could get clear corners and footwell lights and then some. for almost $300 shipped, you could get something for fun/flashy.

I know the short shifter is a little bit pricey and you may be skeptical for that much but I mean really footwell lights??? a little tacky for my taste but then again I'm all for exterior lights in the front grill lolz

This may sound cheesy but a shift **** is a cheap way to personalize your car. You change gear every time you drive it and a shift **** is one of the first things people see inside your car, so you may as well get one you like. Some guys swap out BOV's, I swap out shift *****
