gto spoiler on a cf trunk

I have been contemplating adding a 04-06 GTO spoiler to my cf trunk. the top of the trunk is painted and I'm not concerned about what it will look like but if it will be stable enough. Any thoughts?

If your concerned about it pulling through, use fender washers underneath. Do you have the spoiler yet? Mine had studs rather than threaded inserts.

No I havent purchased one yet, just looking on ebay for various ones for around 100 dollars with the third brake light. So ultimately I would need to glass over the third brake light hole in the trunk as well which is no big deal.

I didn't do that. I hooked up the light in the wing and put a Zoom mask in the light in the trunk.

i drilled holes for my ms spoiler and i know of one that has a huge park bench style on his cf trunk. just make sure you use washers and drill good small holes.
I have always liked the look of the gto spoiler but never could find one in cf.

They don't come in CF, but there are painting tricks to simulate a CF weave.

yeah i have seen/done them and they look good unless they are side by side with real carbon. I have a carbon ms spoiler now on a carbon trunk.

The spoiler will be painted to match my car as the top half of the trunk is painted and only a strip of cf remains on the trunk about the height of the tail lights.

I don't think a couple of screws and washers will hold it up.

The air pressure at speed is tremendous.

Anyone ever thought of using the spoiler from the suburu WRX? I've been thinking about that for a while now....haven't had a chance to check dimensions yet though.
