i personally have no plans to put my third brake lights on, but behind the rear windshield would be a good place to have it.

am i allowed to post prices in a non-group buy thread? anyways, its gonna be 325 for the fiberglass, and 450 for the carbon fiber. this company really wants to push this trunk so these are special pricing only for this first group buy.

1. bigOlundh(fiberglass with CF underside)
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

kane: they are aiming at 7lbs or lighter. ie. 7lbs is the weight of the stock trunk.
PS: please add if you want fiberglass or CF

if you want it, sign up on the list i made. this is going to be a first come first serve base on the list. once i show them proof that there are people who want this trunk, they are going to finish mine. after that, they'll be able to make around 4 per week.

Since I don't see anywhere to add on the lip, is the carbon fiber version going to be the entire trunk lid?

mastergrade is the company that is doing this prototype.

they are a very reputable company and make sick *** parts for the 350z.

The fitment should be spot on since they are using his stock trunk lid. in those pics you just see some fiberglass shavings at the corner that weren't painted.

chances are, as with any aftermarket piece, fitment wont be dead on anyway. You will need a body shop to take care of stuff like that. Ask anyone on this forum that put a fiberglass (insert part here....) and they tell you that things didn't line up out of the box. My question is how are you gunna tackle the underside, will that be finished as well, will the stock liner fit back on, and what about the motor and latch for the trunk pop? that is a difficult design to recreate.

if you look at the corner from side, it flows with the rest of the car. so im not sure what would it look like if it were altered.
daytime shots:

take a look at this next picture where the spot seems weird, when you look at it here, it flows quite well. that is how the edge of the mint blue spoiler looks, so i am not sure how it'd look if adjustments were made to look good from the back.
