Grille trim ring

Anyone know why this won't fit with the front air damn, even though in the pic it's shown with the front air damn? I'm not too fond of it, but it will cover up 2 small dents I have in the front. I searched but couldn't find reasoning why it won't fit. Thanks

The way I read it, is to not use the grille trim ring AND the front air dam with an auto transmission

I guess it's how you read it. For me it's a band-aid more the less to cover 2 small dents I have on the nose.

Did you end up installing it?

I have never seen this trim on any RX-8's, would like to see an installation from different angles. My local dealer(s) don't stock them.
