Got bumped- fender removal?
Got bumped- fender removal?
Late a few nights ago I was making a right hand turn. I was about 3/4 of the way through the turn when a guy in a Toyota Tacoma was changing lanes and bumped my drivers side front fender, directly above the turn signal lense, with the front passenger side inner fender well of his truck. Put a roughly baseball sized dent in my fender.
When I got to work I poped out the plastic rivits in the fenderwell and reached up in and poped out most of the dent. The problem is it's on the crease of the fender. When I poped it out, it kinda of split on this crease, so now it's two very small dents (ping pong ball sized). I need more leverage to pop out those dents, and my gorrilia paws can't fit up in there, so I need to pop off the drivers side fender.
Does anyone know how to do this? I searched for a DIY on front fender removal and couldn't find one. I saw three bolts under the hood, is that it? Any under the car. Do I need to remove the front bumper and/or the fenderwell plastic? Hopefully it doesn't take half a day just to get the fender off!
