GI: What Aerokit From Japan to COPY?

Hey guys,

I have a friend who owns a composites company and he asked me to get a feeler as to what people would want for their RX8's aero wise. Between he and I we have the ability to bring over any kit that looks to have a market.

He can produce these FRP, non flexible, Japanese kits in a more affordable and FLEXIBLE FORM. It's awesome. WE just need to gauge what kind of style is most appealing to most people. We will produce something similar of better quality and price.

So any thoughts?

Burnout lip kit:

INGS:

R-Magic Rear Wing:

R-Magic Mini Version wing:

Vertex:

Anything else you guys can think of?

A good MS clone that doesn't have fitment issues would be nice too.

i dont normally like knock offs but if i were ever to get a body kit my car would be too low to handle it and would scrape all over the place. I would rather spend half the amount of a knock off then spend the full amount of a authentic kit. $1000 vs $500.

NOT TO MENTION IT'S A HYBRID FRP MATERIAL.

Here's an example:

I have to get at least 10 people to buy whatever is chosen. I can't go buying like 10 kits from Japan to only make 1 order for each kit.

So please keep voting here and next time i'll setup a poll so that we can keep better measure. I figured we would do this first so you can post up what other aerokits are out there you might want, then i'll poll it all at one time.

Once that is done, i'll order the real kit from Japan, bring it over and get er done.

I can do the MS kit if you guys really want, I just don't know if I could supply the Mesh Grilles and such. I have the complete MS kit on my vehicle and we would be the only ones with a good fitting flexible kit.

THanks, Rishie

The FEED kit is nice..especially in black yummmm.
One suggestion, I don't know if you can do it now, but if you can....maybe make this post a "poll" where you have people actually vote, rather than just type in a wishlist. You may get better/faster results that way.

A lot of JDM body kit manufacturers (US head quarters) go to this forum and read. I know ONE of the companies that you listed to "copy" has already read this post and they're not happy.

Just a little head's up before anything like this is posted. Besides that, good luck.

Ehh, ya I was like that too. WE're not going to make an exact copy as I indicated. This will be a great way to evaluate what people deem to be the best looking style. We can then bring over a kit, modify it and make it our own.

It's the way of this industry. Regardless it's being done already. You're preaching to the choir. Our company primarily offers original high quality parts from Japan. But damn, this aero industry has killed any chance of getting business selling authentic kits. The US market is a price point market.

Tell Jon Kaneda I said "HI".

So Heads up.

I will not do RE-A stuff, cause my friend is export agent for them and he too respectable. I have RE-A FC2K kit for one of my FC's.

R-MAGIC SOUNDS LIKKE THE ONE TO ME. I really like this kit also.

I won't do INGS cause JIC uses it. hehehehehe. Nor VERTEX cause Speedalliance, warren and chris are cool.

I think everything else is game.

Keep in mind, I'm not the manufacturer. I'm just the messenger. don't shoot the messenger, don't send any Legal Notices to me. I'm just a dude who posts on a board and sells parts that other people make.

if you think about it, the most popular kit on this board would have to be the mazdaspeed kit. Since this kit has been done by numerous companies, the 2nd version would probably be a good idea from a business standpoint.

RMagic has already been copied. The new MS kit would be great, but i doubt Mazda will give up a "concept" bumper for reproduction (though I would personally love those front fenders).

INGS its like 1200 for the front plus shipping from japan, easily one of the top 3 nicest body kits.
