Question Front Splash Guards anyone?

I've been trying to imagine the front splash guards, in addition to the side & rear aeroflares.

Would they go well together or not?

Anybody got pix or something? I've seen lots of pix of the aeroflares & the brochure pic of the front splash guards, but that's about it...

I think they would be a great addition to the appearance package. Maybe some photoshop type person can do some cut and paste work to create a picture.

Bump,

And I bite the bullet and ordered the front splash guards along with the strakes, exhaust finishers, and the foot lights. Went a little over the 500 debit card limit. I'll post pics of my red w/ appearance pkg and the splash guards when they're on.

Thanks wave - appreciate it.

Hmmmnn - something to think about. Could be getting a bit 'fussy' round the sill maybe - dunno!

Could you take the front guard and the sill trim off, just leaving the rear splash guard - when you get the chance.

Cheers!

But this is my favorite shot. Shows, air dam, aero flares & spoiler all in one shot. Plus, it shows the color red on an overcast day - my favorite shade.

Yeah, no problem. Look at my link to my pictures, and let me know which ones you want. Then I can Email them to you. Almost all the pictures I posted, I cropped down in Paint Shop Pro. Most hi-res picts average about 1mb in size.

Thanks!! These are the ones I would like. Send them to wave@wavidart.com. Size should not be a problem coming on my end.

I think he means take off the front mudguard and the front part of the aero flare. Just leave the rear panel of the aero flare on there.

I appreciate you posting the picture of my car with the front mud guards on it. I gives me a good idea of what to expect. I have mixed feelings. In a way it looks too busy. I might just stay with what I got.

RX-8 Zoomster got me - just the rear guard (behind the rear wheel)... just to see what it looks like.

And thanks again

That's the rear aeroflare, not the rear splash guard. There is a difference and both are separately available from Trussville Mazda. Thought I might make that perfectly clear...

Ahh, right... so the rear aeroflare is a one-piece panel that runs across the back? And there is a seperate option of two smaller mud-guards at the rear?

The aero flare set consists of two pieces, one in front of the wheel (side aero flare), and the part behind the wheel (rear aero flare). But they can be bought separately. The rear splash "mud" guards are a totally different option and is different in looks. Here is a picture that will show the difference.

How difficult are the front splash guards to install? Can they be done without a lift?

Thanks.

I'm sure it's not too difficult. Probably just a few holes to drill and screws inserted. At least one drill point is probably in the wheel well. Depending on where the others are you might just have to jack up the car on that end, to have better access to the drill points underneath. I don't see a lift necessary, although if you are access to one, it would be easier.

Thanks guys!! - Wave for the pic - exactly what I wanted to see.

And RX8-Zoomster - excellent pic - many thanks for that. I ventured into a local dealer here in the UK and they had one (1!) accessory/options catalogue and no price list . They kindly let me have a moment alone with it and assured me that most dealers don't even have one yet. Sheesh - we are so far behind you guys with this damn car!!
