I got pulled over yesterday and received a ticket for it... I asked him though about the placement of the dash and he said you can mount it there.

i had my 8 for one day with my new plates in virginia (had KS plates before) i didnt have a front license plate bracket since its an aftermarket bumper....needless to say got pulled over, as the cop was about to write the ticket i got out the car (asked permission first, "sir can i fix it now?) and zip tied that crap on..........

dont chance it, its a waste of money to get caught if anything.....65 bucks that is what, 2 weeks of gas?

I am from cali and just the other night at 1:45 while leaving jack in the box i got pulled over for no front plate. Not to mention the other three tickets i have gotten from meter maids for no plate it sucks but the car looks wierd with a front plate.

Minor related info I just learned today, so I thought I'd share. Just bought a thin chrome frame and backing for my front plate after visiting Autozone and Pep Boys. The backing I got from Pep Boys centralizes the front plate on the grill so it doesn't cover the body paint towards the top of the license plate frame. Looks a little cleaner than the stock backing, but alas there's still the "Bugs Bunny" issue.
