Nice! Mine should be a couple more days. Saw the tracking, and it looks like everything from the far east flew in to Chicago.

remeber guys. Original GB for this item is unpainted. So you wouls still have to get them painted for best result. They are just in flat black direct out of molding. So surface will not be all smooth.

I thought that it had turned into they had been molded green and you then had them sent out to be painted flat black. Which was partly the reason for the long time delay. oh well.

For jay or others,
So can I paint these myself? I know how to use a can of spray paint; but is that ok for parts for my car? What should I use for these to be weather/chip resistant? is there something specific? Just go to a shop and pick out the one that says outdoor use? Or should I just have a shop do it? Thanks.

just picked em up at the post office. They look great, can't wait to install them.

and Aero8, just a can of spray paint is fine. make sure you sand, prime, then paint. I'm going with flat black.

Are you guys prepping with a filler primer? Also, what about a clearcoat? I'm probably going to use a plastic adhering primer as well.

I found a can of spray paint that is made for platic and othr materials and doesn't require sanding, (which I will in some areas anyways). I am going with gloss black. I thought I would actually have to put this off for a bit since it says use apply in 50-85 degrees, but checked wether this morning and next week is 50s all week

So is there an official waiting list anywhere? I've checked in a few times, but I thought I'd ask now that these puppies are actually in production. Jay- you've got another customer if you just let me know how much it is and where to send the money to

actually, i think I'm just gonna clean it up and bit and just install it as-is onto my car. It looks like it's black moulding so it shouldn't fade or change color or anything.

I'm going to try and install them tomorrow, then I'll take pictures.

I decided to do that too. after talking to a couple friends they agreed on flat black, so I am going to try to clean them up and install as is, I can always take them off and paint them later.

Mine's a little more hurt than I expected (or maybe I'm ****). I will need to prep, bondo, and repaint. I planned on painting the mesh anyway so, it shouldn't be too much.

Installed!

I installed my clear corners and these today about an hour total, with the clear corners taking up about 10 minutes if that.

The fitment for the vents was dissapointing. I had to hack away at the mesh, which I slightly expected, but then I also had to remove the top clip of the top slot on each vent, and file/shave the piece that held the clip on down so the vents would be close to flush.

the whole zip-tie attachment seams very unstable and I have a feeling I will need to walk around my car and push these back into the correct position every now and then.

Looking at the pics, I guess they don't look as bad as I thkn they do in person, but it could just be because I am picky about the little things (minor gaps, etc.)

I had to push the mesh behind the metal frame, so in person you can see a line of blue in the holes before the mesh starts. I don't know, maybe I just did install these right, but I didn't see many different options.

here are pics, let me know what you guys think!

Overall experience with these:
I think "happy" would be an overstatement.

I would use "content" because I can't really be upset. I got what I paid for. Due to the lack fo communication combined with incredibly long wait, and the way these turned out, I doubt I will be parts from Evo-R again. Just not thrilled with how this went down. We shall see in the future.

ok, the size limit for attachment seriously sucks on this website. I will find a way to post these up somewhere and link them.

Don't sugar coat it. These things are ****. I knew I should have thought twice before buying something from taiwan.

I want my money back and I think *everyone* should ask for their money back as well. This product is garbage, we waited for half a year for them, and the guy supplied us with zero customer service.

Nobody, and I mean *nobody* buy anything from Evo-R.

Save yourself the headache and either spend more for the real vents, or buy from a reputable dealer.

I also move that Evo-R be removed from the dealer list on this website. His products bring down the integrity of the website, and that shines on it's users, administrators, and owners.

If I don't get my money back I will file a complaint for fraud with my credit card company.

I take it you tried to install them? what happened with yours? when you got them you said they looked great.

as for sugar coating, I wasn't, those are my opinions. I wouldn't recommend people buying these from evo-r anytime soon, as who knows when they would get them, but if someone sees them in person and likes them, by all means go for it.

My dad said they look good installed. but he could notice the fitment issues I mentioned. he said it is there, but not horrible.

fd3s777 I'd like to get the refund you mention above. Please reverse the paypal charges I sent you...the deposit and the final remainder payment.

Sorry, but I'm very particular about the things I put on my car and this doesn't appear to have ended up what I'd expected, besides the fact I still haven't received them. Thanks.

I think the pics look great!!!

and before you blast Jay at EVO R you should check with other JDM companies and how they make their fender vents....

NONE of them will install like the OEM fender vent....thats a given...anyone with common sense would know that...

the fitment on that WB looks awesome....so whats to bitch about????

did anyone expect them to pop in like the oem vent??? if you did, you must NOT of thought about how the vent was fabricated .....did you look at the actual vent that was used to replicate??? i think not...

and what was your cost??? if i remember correctly it was 20 + 58 = 78
please correct me if im wrong...

I dont really understand the gripe at all here except for one thing and thats how long it took to get it...other than that...u got nuthin...

im just getting sick and tired of hearing people whine over this GB....nobody broke your arm here..

i agree,

i the they look great on the wb... and this was not even a group buy... it was someone coming up with something for less money. the group was the people that ponyed up the money to buy the vents for the molds..

if you are not happy get your money back... the bashing is a bit much..

mine is so bad the vent won't actually fit in the slot, even if I bent the mesh back and sanded down/removed the top latch.

It's as if they didn't even check to see if the product would fit on the car......
