Does anyone know how to install the OEM Aero front lip?

I just bought the new oem aero front lip for my rx8 and i have to drill 3 holes on each side of my front bumper and i have no idea how to mark the locations of these 6 drill points and was wondering if someone has already done this install?

Hey there....this is easy my friend.

-whip off the dirt and **** from the inside of the bumper
-you will notice drill markings from the factory for this 6 holes
-drill them out with the appropiate size drill bit from the back

Has anyone managed to fit their oem air dam without drilling the bumper? I have just bought one and got it sprayed and only now have i realised that it requires holes to be drilled. If the air dam gets wrecked which it no doubt will i wont be replacing it so i don't wanna be left with holes in my bumper.

Why are you so certain it will get wrecked? Do you not know how to drive properly? If you don't drill it then it will come off.

Here's a link for the instruction on how to install the OEM Aero Lip... You decide if yours can only be held with a double-sided tape!

Yes i do. The entrance to my drive is a steep angle and the front drags as i reverse up it as is so repeatedly doing this is gonna put strain on the flipsy bumper cover. i dont know what roads are like in your area but where i live centre raised speed bumps are the norm. anyway, i just want the fitting to be reversible just in case it does get damaged.

I have searched a fair amount but found nothing conclusive other that someone mentioning that people have used just 3m tape and it has lasted. Obviously it wont be as durable as having it screwed in.

The factory bumper and lip are anything but flimsy. They takes a licking and keeps on ticking. But if you are low like me then you just have to drive accordingly.
