Disappearing car door

Has anyone seen this yet? Could be cool but I'm not sure if it would work on our 8's.

they'd have to weld our two doors shut, i think its possible but it would be expensive!

Same to be said about shaved door handles and lambo hinges. Anything done to your door are suppose to be illegal.

I don't think a stock 8 would have enough ground clearance for those. I don't think any of those cars were unibody. A lot more dead space under them. The BMW Z1 had something similar.. roll down doors.

Realize people that the RX8 is unique with its doors, why anyone would want to change them is really beyond me. I mean lambo doors are something cool for the 8. But realize in itself the 8's doors are unique

I read somewhere that this company proposed their disappearing door thing to lincoln for the Mark VII but was denied due to design flaws and so i guess theyre trying to sell it themselves now

i personally think the Dihedral Synchro-Helix Door Actuation aka "Koenigsegg doors" are by far the coolest doors. A company actually sells this but they call it "R.A.P.T.O.R. doors."
