and here it is on my car (or it was, I removed all the aero for the 2011 season for minimum weight)
you need supports out to the lip edge regardless for street (curbs etc) or race (high downforce loads) but just bolting then to the front bumper cover is likely to result in them tearing out and leaving big holes. They need to be tied into something sturdy, which on the RX8 means building and fabricating supports down from the crash bar structure.

not neccesarily a splitter in the rear more of a diffuser made of the same material. id prob mount it to the black plastic around the exhaust. idk i always wanted a diffuser i like how they look.

Yes in the rear its called a diffuser not a splitter. If you mount plastic near the exhaust, it will melt. A diffuser needs to be angled up at somewhere between 5-20 degrees and should not extend beyond the rear of the car. Look at the mazdaspeed diffuse for ideas.
