This is a feeler for a possible group buy.
I'm talking to a shop that does emblem painting. As of right now they only offer "Blacked Out" Flying M's. If they agree to it, would anyone here be interested in a custom color Emblem?

If so, what would you like to see?

Colors?(OEM Colors, something else)

Price(What seems fair?)

Any other thoughts?

 

i would. OEM color but flat or satin.

bronze if it could come close to matching the 5zigen bronze. how much are the blacked out ones they sell now?

 

Flat black...but then again i could just paint it myself...

 

matte black looks awesome......I seen it on a mazdaspeed 3 made me jealous

^cant you just get a set of those at advanced auto or autozone and some of the emblems are just on w/ adhesive dunno which ones tho

 

only rx8 is on by adhesive. Mazda and flying m is on with tabs

I'm personally looking for either black pearl (like the lexus ones that are around) or a black nickel type finish for all of my emblems, more of a satin or matte finish rather than the glossy. Even gunmetal could work I guess. If that's do-able, I'll definitely buy in.

2 coats of primer within 1/2 hour and then 3 coats of paint within next hour, and finally clear coat...then dry....

 

Not everyone here are super handy... I personally like the convenience of just popping the old once out and popping color ones in, I can spend the time it takes to paint an dry on a wash and wax or other quick mods. But to each his own
