Cool Custom Car Emblems from third_shift|studios

Hello,

I'm looking at becoming a site sponsor here, in the meantime, i'd like to introduce myself. My name is Jaison Tortorea from third_shift|studios. We are primarily a marketing/design company but lately i've been dwelving into producing custom car emblems. Please have a lookd at my gallery, http://www.thirdshiftstudios.com/car-emblems.html You'll notice it is heavily GM-based. I'm hoping to bridge into the "import crowd" and what better than to start with a performance platform like the RX-8, RIGHT?!

Our capabilities are very extensive and we are equiped to handle those who just want one or 2-of a unique design. Everything we make is laser cut from durable, black resin and stamped with a highly reflective, polished aluminum for a mirror-like finish. Many coloring options are available too.

Looking forward to working with all of you in the near future.

Basically, i can do anything...i don't have enough "touch" with you rx8 guys, so initially my ideas are gonna be slim. Please PLEASE come to me with something you might have in minde... even if it's just "I want a rotary with the word "sickness" next to it" I'll make it come to life. our stuff works great on interiors and holds up to the environment outside, as well as engine bay plaques.

Help me get into your heads-what are you RX8 clubbers all about? What do wish to boast about your cars?

Good stuff and great site. Most people would want to replace their front & rear Mazda emblems. Something like this but more depth and dimension is what I think would be easy to sell.

I have a design I've been trying to get an engineer friend of mine to CAD up, but he's SO lazy and won't do it.

On a side note, can you do 4th axis?

I figured you used a CNC machine or at least a centroid to make the emblems... what is your manufacturing process?

Yes, I got my name from Throwdown the hxc band

How about this one in carbon fiber or chrome? Also, could you make the logo with rounded edges?

hey guys you have to check out his website

"emblems are made with durable black resin..stamped with polished aluminum"

i may be wrong, but that means no carbon fiber, chrome, round CNC cut edges. Just to let everyone know so everyone doesnt keep asking, i checked a company that does CNC cutting which would bevel the edges. 370 for the first emblem, up to 100 for other emblems.

Wink

they are beautiful. We cannot do beveled edges with our machines. Some of you non-believers might need some proof that our stuff shows really well, keep your panties on:

It looks like most of your emblems are text-related. Our crowd is more graphic orientated. Maybe do some R&D on some designs. I assume you use a laser to cut those, what type?
