I am anticipating one of the Carbon Fiber hoods coming out soon and really unsure which to get- Carbon fiber or Fiberglass. So I am setting up a poll to help other and myself out. MY Car is Titanium Grey.

I want one of the new ones with the vents in them. Vivid has one in the works and I like for my car to be different but tasteful. I agree the carbon fiber is probably best. I could always paint it later if I get tired of it.

If the CF has any real advantage over the fiberglass, I would get that one...but I'd still paint it. I hate large expanses of unpainted carbon fiber. For trim pieces, or smaller areas or interior pieces its fine. For large body parts...not for me.
I'm not really convinced that, other than looks, wet layup carbon fiber is significantly different from fiberglass...someone can correct me if I'm wrong...but I don't think its much if any lighter or resistant to cracking. It may well end up heavier than the stock hood...many of the fiberglass or wet layup CF hoods on the FD were heavier than the stock aluminum hood.
Anyway, I'm voting fiberglass in the poll but I tend to agree with Jason above...the stock hood is fine, at least until I see a replacement that blows me away...and I haven't so far.
