Color Code for the Greyish Lip on the MazdaSPEED Body Kit ?

Does anyone know the color code for the greyish lip on the bottom of the MazdaSPEED body kit ? I recently had a body shop paint my AUTHENTIC Mazdaspeed front bumper(No more prepainted yellows anymore! ) WITH WRITTEN and VERBAL INSTRUCTIONS on how to paint the bumper and they still painted over the grey lip area. Could the body shop just chip off the yellow paint around the lip area of the front bumper to reveal the grey trim or would they have to totally repaint it ?

Another issue is the fact is the paint seems to be cheap even though they said they use quality paint that BMW's use. I traveled from San Francisco to Sacramento which is about a 100 mile or so drive back and forth and found NUMEROUS paint chips due to rocks all around the front bumper. Can the body shop touch it up good or will there be a slight color discoloration from this or should I just ask them to repaint and apply more layers to prevent this ? My last option would just to reapply the paint and put a clear bra on this I guess...

Anyways I've attached some pics to show you what I'm talking about regarding the lack of grey trim. No rock chips as it was late at the time I found out and couldn't get good pics.

i'm glad you posted this as I am probably painting my bodykit sometime next week. As far as I know, I'm going to ask about a "lifetime" guarantee on paint quality... against fading, chips, etc. I know most shops offer it, and it keeps them honest.

Some questions regarding your problem specifically.

Is your kit a genuine MS kit or is it a replica fiberglass kit?
Did you negotiate any type of warranty?

Now if you had the written instructions... and they know they made a mistake... I'm thinking you should ask them to paint ALL of your trim a certain color of your liking (i'm thinking black). That could be a possible remedy.

GL... (btw... where did you get the paint done at...)

and regardless.... you have a beautiful car...

Try a39 (its mitsubishis evo graphite gray) should match 100%. Mazda call the trim primer+gunmetal.

Its authentic. Looking nice halox.

Thanks IzzI! Gonna tell this to the body shop tomorrow!

This is the real deal MS front bumper. However the front bumper is primered MS since they dont make yellow MS bumpers anymore since they wont need to as yellow is a discontinued color. They do have a so-called *lifetime* warranty as well so I shall see if they live up to it.

Regarding the instructions, if they actually read it, it specifically said PAINT YELLOW at so and so location indicated by arrows and DONT PAINT in a location indicated by the instructions. They just didn't pay attention to my details nor read the instructions but they do a good and fast job for a decent price.

The shop is in San Francisco called 19th Autobody Center. I think I should have listened to Moostafa and went to CSC in Oakland.

Hmm...anyone know about the rock chip question ? Should I request more paint layers or should I just another repaint and clear bra again ?

Got the kit from Rosenthal for around $2000. I highly suggest you dont get it from Rosenthal because they lied about the condition to me and I would not want anyone else getting lied to. I would suggest onlinemazdaparts one of the vendors here. They seem to have the best price on the mazdaspeed parts for us since they wont charge us tax and shipping.

Yes, the color code is A39 and matches the grey trim of the MS kit like a charm.
