I wonder where Failsafe is? I thought he just said on Tuesday that he ordered them that day from Mazdaparts.com.

A question on how they flash on US RX8s (I am from Singapore):

Do your clear cornes stay LIGHTED ON when you turn on your pole lights?

Do they FLASH when signalling to left or right?

(Cos ours in Singapore stay OFF and flash only when signalling. Thks)

^^ what does this have to do with what color the housing is?

Btw. the US corner lights never flash. They stay on with the headlights or when they are turned on without the headlights. However this can be changed - in the DIY section there is a guide how.

Yep, I bought them from mazdaparts.com. Sorry, don't really read outside the NE forum much unless I'm actively searching for something...like why my TPMS light keeps randomly turning on for 5 minutes on my drive to work, then off, even though my tires have the right pressure in them. *sigh*

The site shows they still have them in stock, 79.95. Plus ridiculous shipping though. I think I paid like 96 altogether. Probably should have shopped around more, but oh well. There are places you can get them for 60+shipping.

Ordered mine from here a couple weeks ago. Ordered on a Sunday, had them on that Wednesday. With shipping to SOhio, it was like $77 total.

Have they been flashing since you got the car? Mine did that while I had my winter tires on, then as soon as Jose put my OEM wheels back on it stopped automatically. Somebody on here will be able to help you out, and I'll ask him when I see him tonight, too, and get back to you if he has any ideas.

Did you get them shipped to you yet failsafe? I ordered from there, but I believe I read that people were having issues getting items from them.

Not yet, no. Though I didn't actually get to order them until Wednesday around lunch. I got the order confirmation, but no shipping info yet. I'll give it til monday and then I'll be calling them if I don't hear anything.

Beth, it's actually just a solid light, not flashing. I have the stock sensors/wheels on. It just started this past week, the day after the meet in jersey actually. It'll be on for the first 5 minutes I drive and then shut off. Sometimes it will come back on the next time I drive, other times it won't turn on at all. From what I've read it looks like most people have the opposite problem where the light's either flashing constantly or turns on after they've been driving for a bit, but generally it seems like the things malfunction more than they are actually informative from the countless posts I've seen here. My tires have the correct amount of pressure and aren't leaking, so I'm not overly concerned tbh. I'm scheduled to go in for some regular maintenance soon anyway, so I'll just have them look at it if it gets more persistent.

After trying to contact the mazda parts guys I gave up, they never charged me or anything. I ended up ordering the clear side markers from rx8 strakes, as well as a few other things.

Just thought I'd update, not sure what's up with the company but they haven't been responding to anything.

edit: When I originally posted this, rx8strakes.com was sold out by the way, which is why I asked where people were buying

That's weird Xam, I ordered some touchup paint and the OEM seat covers from onlinemazdaparts and they communicated promptly with me. When the item hadn't shipped for a couple days, I contacted them via email and I heard back in literally 10 or 15 minutes.

At any rate, at least you got your clear corners - in my opinion they might be the single greatest cosmetic upgrade you can make to the car.

Just as an update, I hadn't heard back from mazdaparts.com about shipping on Monday, so I messaged them through the 'contact us' section of the website. That afternoon at 5 PM they sent me a shipment notification and charged my card.

Package was scheduled to arrive today, then UPS left it sitting somewhere at their center or something and rescheduled for tomorrow.

Keep in mind I placed this order last wednesday....I'm so glad I paid 16 something for shipping.

Failsafe, one thing I did notice is that you can order the parts from them even if they don't have them in stock. I placed the order for my seat covers on the 1st, and when I hadn't heard anything by Tuesday afternoon, I sent them a message and I was informed that they had the parts on order and they'd be shipping out Wednesday. Unfortunately, they don't notify you if something is out of their stock. So it's likely that even though you ordered them last Wednesday, they didnt get them in stock until Monday. Kind of sucks as they don't tell you the item isn't in stock so you are just sitting there wondering what is happening.

EDIT: I didn't realize mazdaparts.com and onlinemazdaparts.com were different. I am speaking about onlinemazdaparts.com.

Yeah, the mazdaparts.com store where I ordered from listed on the site that they had them in stock when I ordered. That was the whole reason I went through them. lol
