Well thats something i could deal with, but the ones i saw all without a doubt stick out a lot more than .5cm. Staticlag, where did you get your clear corners, and how much did you pay.

I got mine from mazdaparts.com for around $75 i think. I just mesured mine for sure, and at the greatest peak of it sticking out, it sticks out .75 cm maximum, the rest just tapers off to body level. Mugatu's pics show corners that stick out the same as mine.

out of my own curiosity, I went out and took a shot of my clear corners up close. At it's WIDEST point, it's just makes it to the 1/2" mark...and this is if you look DIRECTLY above the light. Normal view from the side or front would not even show this.

Perhaps you were just exaggerating....

You don't like US OEM - amber, you don't like JDM clear. There is no other option for you that is known. Who gives a crap how far out they stick? you have two choices, pick one and stop arguing about it.

Sorry had a bad day. This is like a reading version of my teenagers quibbly over the shade of lipstick.

Yes, you are correct. You can create the third option. I stand corrected. Good luck.

If you ever get around doing this, please post a DIY. The bulge is bothering me too. I feel that it interferes with the smooth lines. That's why I've been hesitating to get the JDM clears. Thanks in advance.

Unless that ebay seller is a liar, then those are the exact same ones that you and I have bought mugatu. Those have the .5 inch bulge just like all the others.

I hope you don't expect those to not bulge out like the ones that have been posted in the pics in this thread, because those ebay ones have exactly the same bulge.

yes, they even appear to have the same bulge. it is hard to see from the photos posted in the auction, but they do look the same.

i hope for his sake they're not.

The Bulge i saw on the 8's during the meet i recently stuck out MUCH more. I can deal with a small protrusion, but not what i saw at the meet. I saw the picture before i ordered, and if they look like that when i get them, i think im fine with them.

I'm more curious to see this bulge you're talking about, because EVERY clear corner I have seen has looked identical..just like the ones on my car. where did you see it?

Ditto Mugatu....my clear corners are the same as the pic.....they do stick out a little but not enough to ruin the lines of the car....
I would love to see pics of the ones that really BULGE out.....I have seen many pics of 8s with clears and they are all the same...

Question time to install clears

I'm anticipating getting my clears tomorrow/monday... how long did it take you to install them. I'm assuming its just a quick "pop", switch the wires, and "pop" back in.
