You don't have to join the group buy. You can pay full retail right now and I will ship them to you right away. I have them in stock.

All the info is on there. If you have more questions, email me at rotaryextreme@aol.com. Thank you.

BTW, the orange bulb you can get is the Sylvania 194NA.

Chuck, I see the web page now, thanks.

One question, it seems we are required to submit a certain amount of non-refundable money without really knowing what the final price "will be". It should be an easy thing to post how many orders you have received thus far. At least, this way we will now the most we will pay at the time of submittal with the possibility that the price will go down as additional orders are submitted. I hope you take my suggestion, I don't think I would order without having an idea of what I might pay..

Once your put down a deposit, your name will be posted on that group buy page. Just first name with last name initial for privacy purpose. If you want your full name or your rx8forum screen name to be posted on there, I will do so as well.

So you know so far I have ZERO people putting down the deposit.

If you are new to rotary, you probalby don't know about my company. Some of you might be worried but you can go to either www.rx7club.com or www.nopistons.com and do a search on Rotary Extreme. You will find out I have been hosting many successful group buys and people are happy with my product quality and service. Thank you.

Guys, could you please take this discussion to PMs? If you want to buy the clear indicators, that's great, but this discussion is really pushing the advertising boundaries. Please don't force me to close it. I've left it open as long as I could, but it's getting a little much now. I should have closed it to begin with, but I didn't notice as soon as I should have so I tried to give it a chance to die off, which it hasn't. And don't send me PMs complaining about this, as I am just following forum rules.

I have permission from Jason (owner of this forum). You can PM him to confirm. Thank you.

For those of you who is interested, please just go to my website or email me regarding this. Elara is just doing her job but I guess there is some miscommunication going on.

Clear side markers for RX-8

Just picked up my black RX-8 last week and Im already on the prowl for mods. 1 of which is clear side marker lenses. I saw some on http://www.rotaryextreme.com/rx8index.html
for the astronomical price of $200 for the pair. Anybody know where I can pick a pair up for a reasonable price?

In addition, Im looking for an exhaust & headers for future purchasing. Any suggestions?

"corrected" only after we found out how much they are actually worth and how much other vendors are selling them for...we were told $200 was that price which is 3 times that price of $70 which is undoubtedly still a lot higher than they're actually worth...shady if you ask me...

Double checking on sources

Where can you get the clear side marker kits? Do they come with the bulb (white bulbs) that burn yellow?

You could try stealth auto. You can also give the bulbs a light coat of spray paint. I'm not sure exactly how to do this, but have heard about it in a few forums.

clear side markers

Thanks for the link. $200 was just out of line.
On a similar note...
Anyone know what size bulbs are in the high beam housing and the other frosted light housing closest to the mazda emblem. Not sure how to describe this one. I cant seem to find the size anywhere.
I wanted to swap them out for some bright white bulbs so that when all the headlights are lit they look more uniform. The yellowish hallogens are lame next to the HIDs

$55-$70...NOW he tells us!

the chronology:

- they quote $200 per set
- they offer a group buy rate as low as $120/set depending on number of orders
- competitor offers sets for ~$85
- competitor receives orders for his first 20 sets yesterday. (with many more people showing interest)
- "original" retailer offers them for $55-70 (depending on number ordered) today

honest mistake or capitalism at work? whatever.

the consolation being that those of us who bought from "the competitor" will have our markers a few days from now whereas everyone else will be waiting for a bit.

*by the way, this is by no means a knock on rotary extreme. i don't know them and i'll most likely be ordering stuff from them in the future. i'm merely pointing out the chronology for those that don't know the history on this forum. after all...i was the first to start a thread about them.

one more edit: u can expect this thread to be closed soon as the mods have already closed a few related to this topic that spun out of control into the abyss of self-promotion (read: advertising). ain't that right elara?

Hey bubba, chill a bit. Look at the time of his post and look at the time of mine. All of 20 minutes. So I assumed he saw the price at 200, they noticed they put the wrong price up and changed it to the correct one, then when I stopped by to look at them saw the new price and though I'd let him know. I had until this point never heard nor commented on any thread dealing with this item.

Have a latte, relax.

i think perhaps we have a misunderstanding and it is you that needs to chill out as my post was in no way designed to redicule you nor your post but to state the fact that the vendor in question was trying to rip us off considerably, hence the quotews around "corrected"...i don't really care when you saw what or how as i wasn't even commenting on that whatsoever...we cool?

Why is that? We have one board member that paid full price ($200) and has had his for the last couple weeks. Others that have pre-ordered from jt-imports tentatively could have there's in a couple weeks as it sounds JT managed to get a few pair before the Japanese holidays. Anyway, we will find out soon enough.

I just received a $65 refund from Rotaryextreme.com. He stated that his Japanese supplier had given him a wrong price on the clear sidemarkers. The group buy price is $55 and the retail price is $70. I went ahead and purchased them at $70 to get them now. By the way, for the last week, I was the only deposit at $120 on his site.

Nope, I'm chill. Just seemed to me like I was the one getting reemed for defending the seller when I knew nothing about any previous issues with them.

I'm glad that you got a reasonable price. The reason you where the only one that pre-ordered through RotaryExtreme was due to their over the top pricing and their quote of "your non-refundable deposited of $120", which eluded to the possibility of paying more if insufficient pre-orders where generated. Anyway, they changed their tune quick and now have more realistic pricing.
