Carbon Fiber Roof
Hi all, I own Speedcraft Composites and am looking into making some Carbon Fiber Roof skins for the RX-8
I do a lot of wrapping for tuner and exotics alike but have found that with the time and effort to wrap a roof its just easier to make a skin that can be glued on.
Im not selling anything yet but since ill be doing the roof on my 05 no sunroof RX-8 im just testing the waters to see if i should make more then one. or if there is anything else you guys are interested in.
again im not taking orders just seeing if there's any interest.

very nice work you got for the F360. =)
you can probably do mirror covers...for a start.
I got a stock aero with CF wrap but the quality was not great. I think if you can make a stock aero CF version, a mazdaspeed CF version, those will definitely sell like hot cakes
Just my opinion of course...

Thanks a lot guys for the fast response.
Since we're doing this I might as well ask. what would you pay for something like this. please consider it will be real carbon fiber. using either plain weave or twill or even carbon kevlar and color combinations

Carbon fiber interior door panels\door cards? Some companies also sell carbon fiber rear windows replacements.
It would be cool to replace the glass on the sunroof with a carbon fiber plate
Just some ideas =)

definitely do a sunroof replacement in CF.
i've been wanting to buy some CF to mold to the sunroof glass... what would that cost?
material wise, and if its already made?
the CF door panel replacements seem like a good idea too...
wow, those are gonna be some great aesthetic weight shaving pieces!
another oem piece to have laying around like some on here who has CF hoods... great...

That's it about the sunroof replacement.
The door cards won't save weight but they'd be pretty cool (Except in the event of a crash )

shipping is no problem as long as you are willing to pay for the freight. installation will be as easy as 3m two sided tape or spray adhesive. I am speaking with 3m and another company for best adhesion that would not damage the paint if you where to wish to remove it at a later date.
