Blacked out headlights/rear lights
Well, I really liked the look on the FD 7's with their rear lights being sorta blacked out so I went ahead and thought of it for our 8's. What do you guys think? Should I do it darker or what?

My friend blacked out his front and rear tail lights on his Mustang. There are a lot of things that are illegal, however, it is such a small thing, people rarely get pulled over for them. No front plate, illegal tint, etc. Now if I got pulled over for speeding or some other offense, then he will most likely get me for all the other things I have illegally since I'm already stopped. But I have had a 30% tint all around and no front plate, and the cops around my area don't care. If I get pulled over, then well, I pay the price lol.

Looking good. yea it for sure looks like the supercharge white rx8 that was in SPEED with the blacked out lights. I've never seen one of these in the evening ... how is the illumination?

This is photoshopped by the way lol, sorry, I guess I should have mentioned it. I just wanted to see how it would look.
I don't know, if you just do the rears, I would think it looks unporportional if you don't have the fronts. That's the other problem, I don't know exactly how much light would be able to pass through. My friends Mustang shows barelly any light when the lights are on. Even when his lights are on high beams, it's not even close to what the lights usually are, or maybe it's just because I'm used to how strong my Xenon's are lol.

if u had the rears blacked out and not the front and worried it would be unproportional...another idea would be to have a cf hood...that evens things out i think

If you can just get the housing to be black (not the head/tail light itself) you be on the right track. Overall I don't think it looks that bad, kinda like it, just not for my car .

Oil Injection
looks cool on the silver, but a little too dark for me. I would go for more of a smoke look...
Like this :
Still dark but you can see the lights inside. Maby even a tad darker....but yours are like PAINTED BLACK...

That guy sells all that kinda stuff, even has kits pre cut for the rx8, i used him to get my yellow film for the foglights, and the clear film for the headlights. Great product and very professional.

I've been looking for this. I love the way my car looks with the black duct tape over the lights when in track mode. I've been looking for a vinyl, or vinyl-like alternative. I like the FRONT lights blacked out. But not for nighttime, obviously.
I'll check out lamin-x and see if their stuff is removable.
