Welcome! You really should try a "Search" first. You will find the answer and not upset the locals.

Take a hacksaw blade and saw behind the emblems. Its the only way they will come off. Of you can just leave them on and spraypaint them on the car and after you will need some 80 grit sandpaper to sand off all the overspray around the emblems.

Hey Jim, on the bottom how did you know where to cut? I feel like I'm going to cut the badges too short or too long so the M will look funky.

I was going to the "M" on the trunk but I had to make quick decisions since I was out of town while my car was in the shop. I didn't want to come back and not like the emblem so I just went all out. plus my insurance painted my trunk.

i just guessed it, but as a general guide cut away the least amount that you're comfortable with, if it doesnt look right at least you can cut more off, you cant add on!
also i made sure front and rear were the same, although people wouldn't necessarily notice, i would know they weren't lol
good luck

Looks kinda off without the "rx8" on there. You should either put it back on or get rid of the "mazda". In my opinion.
