Best MS replica kit?

I know they stopped production on the MS kit, but I really love the design. Anybody have any suggestions on the best MS replica kit is?

Also... fiberglass or urethane? I've had fiberglass before by VIS. Fitment was great, but durability wasn't great.

before you get flamed.

get urethane. usually a good body shop would mold it in the correct shape with a heat gun first, then do the prep-work. really simple to work with as long as the fitment isn't too far off., and durable enough not to crack with the slightest bump or scrape.

urethane is better than fiberglass obviously. fiberglass is as durable as cardboard. if you get in an accident, it will disintegrate lol.

i have fiberglass replica of mazdaspeed from Extreme Dimensions. I know their products are crap but I wanted a bumper as cheap as possible so I decided to gamble and went with it. Fitment wasn't THAT bad but wasn't perfect either. I spent my days bondo-ing, cutting, and fitting. It was like 150 or something for the bumper I forgot excluding paint job. I don't know the best company but I will tell you now, don't go with Extreme Dimensions. 9/10 times it would end up costing you more than an authentic kit to get it properly fitted. I was lucky..

What they said, replicas are not bad. But your gambling with the fitment when you order one.

i doubt thats true, how did you get that figure? considering primered MS is $1,160.75 [add a couple hundred for painted, even if they dont offer it anymore] and a replica can be around 150-300 i doubt it will be as close to a Painted MS bumper.

1160 - 150=1010 as both will need paint. assume $60/hr for body work 1010/60 = 16.8hr
i can easilly see 2 days of work in a **** fitting fiberglass bumper

$60/hr

I'm definately in the wrong line of work. Please do not tell the Hispanic guy at the body shop what you are being charged, as he's only making $10/hr.

painting is already about 45-50 bucks an hour. you could imagine what prepping and fitting a crap bumper would be like. just look at what mrl84 posted. besides, i'm not talking about just any fiberglass replica. im talking about Extreme Dimensions' replica kits. the 9/10 times thing was referring to them since their products are **** lol. it would take days and countless hours not to mention even miracles to get their products looking flawless..

I did it myself.. took me a good 3-4 days of bondo-ing, cutting, fitting, and all that good stuff to get it looking right. Original fitment wasn't bad enough to the point where it needs to be professionally done,... but like i said, i was lucky to get a decent bumper from extreme dimensions. bumper was like 150-170 or so and got it painted for 400.

Hi,

Came across this a couple weeks ago. They don't seem to have the MazdaSpeed Rear Diffuser but Front Bumper and Side Skirts for $89 bucks a piece.

Good Luck & Best Regards...

the only problem is that they are "frp" which is essentially Fiberglass for the most part so it will still crack. not to mention its located in SoCal, so your going to have to pay for shipping. most of these "distributors" still require you to pay them "fees" in exchange for picking them up rather than shipping. why? because we both know that they jack up the shipping price a bit to make another profit.

these look promising. They are carbon fiber. How does carbon fiber hold up on body kits? Better than fiberglass?
