I JUST INSTALLED A FRONT AIR DAM ON MY 2005 NORDIC GREEN RX8 AND IT LOOKS HOT. I WAS CONFUSED BECAUSE WHAT I HAD READ FROM MAZDA BUT NOW I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT YOU CAN INSTALL THE FRONT AIR DAM IF YOU HAVE A AUTO TRANNY.

 

What does AT have to do with it?!

 

on mazda website it say the front dam cant be use on the a/t

 

It says: Front air dam not for use WITH grille trim ring and auto transmission

 

???? don't get it????

 

Ah right.. I have the '07 RX8 mag.. It says the same thing.. Why tho? Whats the reason.. I have a new AT 8. It's stupid.. No difference in the MT & Auto front bumper.. I wanted to add that and some other kits.. Like the aero flares.

 

Well, according to the accessory catalogue the front splash guards are not compatible with the factory appearance package - which is BS of course.

 

I think mazda catalogue is saying: you can't install front air dam with front grim at the same car. The reason is you would block air flow for cooling AT tranny cooler that's attacted on the button of radiator
