If you've ever bought the great value crap at wal-mart you're guilty of the same thing as buying replicas .. why not quit buying the Dr. Thunder and go for the Mt Dew.

Thats what Faygo is for (sorry west coast neighboors you have no idea). Best cheap PoP EVER! Smaller company out of michigan woot.

All that aside I love the autobahn, but now I'm leaning back towards the Authentic Mazda Speed, why must it cost an arm and both of my legs?!?!? I need those to drive with!

winter storage

well i had the day off the other day so i took the autobahn (replica) off for the winter and just in time to. i just went outside and there was snow on the car for the first time this year. unfortunatley im not going to be able to deal with the stock looking front end plain so i will probably be picking up an A spec lip to put on there till spring. PS i dont wanna get caught up in all this talk about "purist" and "real car enthusiasts" but since those people with such strong convictions have littered my email and done such a nice job of ruining what i was hoping to be an informative thread. heres my take on the matter: i dont know for sure but if the original manufacturers patented the bodykit design then yes the companys making the replicas should either buy the rights or at least get permission to reproduce the design. that seems fair to me. if someone knows FOR SURE the exact legality on the matter, by all means please post it here. if that is the case that should end all conversations about the matter in this thread. if these replicators (that are, how was it put, ripping off?) have a legal right to reproduce these parts then its no different than mazda having the right to reproduce a german engine that they bought the rights to from the NSU. so the real car enthusist that felt so strongly about somebody copying somebody elses design wouldnt even be driving a japanese car deisigned by a german right?
"purist", "real car enthusisast"=car ****? nobody likes a ****

If it actually looks good then isnt that the whole point of it? to tune your car the way you want it? That is the pure enthusiast I think.

depends on your definition of enthusiast, if your all about looks you would be a ricer to the go people, if your all about go, u can still be a ricer to the race ppl, if ur all race, u could be too hardcore for normal ppl

anyways i feel using the term pure enthusiast is probably contrived and slightly conceited

FL Thanks deedub

This threads name should now be called "pure enthusiasts" for the poor people who go wanting to learn something about the autobahn bumper so they search for it Instead of posting for fear of being ragged on for being lazy and not doing their research. And so,here, this is what they get. I'm sorry fellow researcher for my contiribution to wasting your time.

Anyways love the autobahn bumper, I'm gonna get a ti grey one once I've got the money. I don't even know who makes a knock off one. Anybody else know for the next curious enthusiast who comes along looking for the best buy? I kinda look at it like a Coach bag- what you pay just gives you the right to say "it's real" ...not that I own one of those.

How bout some insight on fitment
and is ti grey easy color to match?
