Auto-Bahn Kit... In Silver This time, Thanks Sbthew!

Here's a preview, excuse the dirt, and crappy pix... it was going to rain today, so I passed on washing the car. The front bumper is slightly lower than I had wished... imagine if the car was dropped, it would sit LOW.

Thanks to Sbthew, Mobworks, and Alex & Robert over at Browning Mazda Dealership. I'm not sure if I would ever have the patience again to wait for this silly kit.. oh wells.

Gotta wait one more month for some other toys to arrive from Japan.

Looks good! I really like the larger Lip spoiler. It is a lot like the Racing Beat Kit which I also like.

Good stuff.

Nice.

Nice to also see it on another colour. Really shows up the lines of the kit.

Love the side skirts, just a few subtle extra lines.

If you get a chance, can you get a low shot looking straight on at the front.

Thanks, I was going to go the route of Ings+1 like you did, but decided against it... went for something a bit different. But I still love the Ings+1 Wing, so that's what the wing is in the back.

I'll take more pix when the weather clears up.. it's sprinkling outside now.

No Lip, just the bumper replacement. I do need to get some custom Carbon Fiber splitters for the front, kinda scared of the scratching of it.

From a front view, the bumper is LOW. I would say it's about 3 inches off the floor now.. if not less. I would be hesitant to ever lower this car.

Bought it from Mazdaparts.com (sbthew), Cost about 2100+.. it's mainly the shipping (500+), had it flown in instead of freight by ship. Wait about a month. So have some patience.

The kit came with everything, and very minimal modifications needed. Heavy duty fiberglass, but it's still fiberglass.

RMagic.. I went complete JDM stuff. Might as well, it's a Japanese car.

Also forgot to mention, I want to thank DMix on this message board for his help in answering my questions regarding this kit. He rocks, and his website rocks too. Doomo Arigatoo.

I really love that kit. If I had to do it all over again, it would be a tough decision, but I'd probably choose this over MS.

The car looks great.

Do you plan on adding the rear bumper?

Add a nice set of JDM wheels, and you'll really have a show-stopper!

Not adding anything to the rear.. yet. I don't like the MS kit rear because it removes the one thing I do like about the back of the stock car.. the Rear Rotary Accent. Also the cutting factor. Then there is the Rear for Ings+1... which does look good, but I have no clue whether this would line up with the sideskirts or not... but this maybe the other option I will go towards later on.

JDM wheels are on its' way... waited 1 month already, another 1 month to go.

I'll then get the exhaust after that, since I'm still thinking about what to do with the rear part... but as of now, I kinda like it this way.

why dont you get the new rear from Autobahn?

its 2 pieces similiar to the INGS pieces which attaches to the same spot and they would line up with the sideskirts for sure...

At the time I ordered the kit, those rears weren't available. But the rears looks kinda goofy to me,... I prefer a sharper line, like the rear aero of Ings+1. When I get to see the JIC Ings+1 car again or the other local guy that bought the Ings+1 kit, I'll try and see if the rears line up.

I might still get a Ings+1 kit as a backup to this one... so not sure. As long as no cutting is involved.

Nah, I just work very boring long hours, and have enough money to buy silly wasteful things with. And I'm really stingy as hell, so when I do spend on something, it's hopefully worthwhile. Like how most Asian peoples do it.

i thought the kit was made of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic)? Was the kit easy to install?

I just got into a minor front end accident and im looking for a good quality bumper.

Is the wire mess black or steel colored?

Is there any room for the stock fog light?

Kit was fairly easy... no hassle.. at least that's what the body shop told me. They didn't have to do much to fit, and the FRP bumper doesn't flip flop like the cheesy US knockoffs. It's sturdy and rigid, but can bend slightly. It's still fiberglass though.. so I gotta watch out for crazy dips.

Wire mesh is silver color, but you can paint it whatever color you want. Easy to install on that when you see how the rear looks.

There is ton of room for fog light or whatever you want.. it extends the front bumper slightly, and has a huge lip area for a bunch of fog lights if you wish.

Looks awesome! I've been saving for that exact spoiler/kit combination (up until my 8 got wrecked). Once it's out of the repair shop, I hope you won't mind having a TiGray twin :-D
