Anyone ever deal with Chaser Aerodynamics ?

Going to get 4 FRP doors from them and just wanted to know if anyone has had any personal dealings with them on here ? What were their products like quality wise and did you think they offered a good service.

From the reply to my email they seem spot on

"You get what you pay for" describes their products fairly well.
Seems pretty stupid to install frp doors unless you have a full cage. That's true for most cars, especially for ours since our chassis lacks a traditional b pillar.

I don't know the company hence the thread. So basically your saying his products are rubbish ?

Is not even more stupid to assume things first rather than ask a simple question ? I never said they were for a road car. In fact if you looked in the Europe section you will see I started a thread on building an RX8 into a track car. I am asking about the products as I want to reduce weight in the car and yes it will be fully caged and braced to the A & C-Pillars...

Kruizer, the section you posted in is for road going vehicles, maybe if you had said its for an off road vehicle, the response may have been more to your liking. Try the Racing only section.

Way too many sub forums on here Didn't see it stated anywhere that this was just for road cars either. Thread belongs in the Drifiting sub forum if any where so.

Nevermind, i hope he discovers soon how the doors are needed to keep the structural integrity and chassis stiff even on a "track" car.
Rollbar or don't touch the doors is the general good advice.

Did you not read my reply ? The car will be fully caged to protect driver and passenger, it will also be a proper weld in cage to meet regs, not some bolt in job for the look...

You seem to be avoiding the question previously asked. I simply wanted to know from someone with personal experience with this company how good the products are, I'm not interested in brand names or bragging rights, I just want something that works the way it is meant too. I did a search on the forum and found a lad who was selling the carbon doors who worked at Chaser AeroD. but that was over a year ago.

Simply put I just want to know if the doors are lighter than OEM and also what the fit is like from someone who has invested in a set. Thats if anyone on here has ever bought a set of the FRP doors.

I already told in my first reply that you get what you pay for.
It should be only the outer skin anyway so i'm not sure how much you will save weight wise.
There are other areas where that amount of money will yield way nicer weight reduction

That is suggestive at best, have you dealt with the company ? Yes or No ? If not you are simply reading what others have posted and regurgitating information which is useless to me and doesn't answer what I asked. I am looking for complete FRP replacements not a skin, as in the entire door to be made from FRP which if you looked at the pic's you would see that what he is advertising. Also I won't have any interior barr the cage, 2 fia seats and a dash. All panels, sound deadening, carpet etc will be removed. The glass will be replaced with Lexan Polycarbonate except for the front screen and I will fitting an SR20 engine for more power. Hope that answers your points made above

We had bad to extremely bad (trash bin) experiences with a bunch of the products they resell.
The rear doors look "complete", the front ones are a huge question mark.
However i wasn't referring to interior weight savings, for that money you can take off more than 10kg from the brake department alone.

Since you're the know-it all type of guy i won't say anything more, go ahead and have fun!

Thats better dude, some personal experience is always better than hearsay

I definitely don't know it all, if I did, I wouldn't have joined up here looking for advice, I welcome all types of criticism, good or bad. I found the brakes a bit soft alright but didn't know about the weight saving by replacing them. What makes them so heavy ?

I have a set of Brembo 8 pots that I had bought for a previous project so I reckon I will fit them to this... You can lift the caliper with one finger.
