I was hoping it would fit a series one. but not really so it seems.

 

I recently bought a 05 Rx8 and I want to get a body kit on it and after seeing that duraflex sucks I was wondering if this body kit will work on my 05 rx8 SE3P RX-8 Spec-A Aero | Shine Auto Project . I've heard some really good things about shine auto on the site so any input would be awesome or if there are any kits that look like the m1 or that I can get anywhere else. Im open to all suggestions loving my rx8 so far

 

Shine auto is good. It's not always perfect fitment, but any modifications is minor. I think they're pretty legit.

 

That is a one off bumper made by the owner of that car. It started life as a AutoEXE bumper.

 

carboninmotion sells a really similar bumper.

What you've heard is true. I put the shine bumper on my 8 and fitment was amazing. Even my body shop said they were impressed with the fitment and quality. I also ran into another car at about 2 mph and cracked it down the middle, but just refiberglassed and sanded the crack and $300 of paint later it's as good as new. Love it's look.

 

Thinking about getting the Mint Blue front bumper, what would be good side skirts and rear bumper to go with it?

I kinda liked the way it looks & was looking to get same one.

2. He is telling you that because he is joking and because he has the bumper and or may even want to see less people with it to be "unique".

 

Yeah thats the one i want to get, but the side skirts or rear bumper i don't really like. I like the ones he has on his. What would be some good looking ones to go with the front bumper? I also have stock wing. and oh okay i get you lol

and yes I still have the mint blue style on my car, was a joke.

I actually got a BN Sports front now, just not mounted yet since I'm overseas, I dont really care how many people have the mint blue style at this point. Ever since my car became popular on IG it seems everyone is buying one. There are manufacturers who sell them for like $100 now, smh.
But yeah, the mint blue sides are super ugly. I recommend going with something a bit more subtle. And IMO there are no good looking rx8 rear bumpers except for MS and Vertex and thats only if you have the whole kit.

 

That knock off Mint blue has been popular for years, heck we have two locals with it. And I have a brand new Shine bumper sitting in my living room for another member that is not installed due to poor fitment. It can be fixed but still the fitment is poor.

 

Would the Mint Blue front bumper, MS sides, and MS rear bumper look good? Or Mint Blue front, MS sides, and VS-GT rear?

 

Dude it's all up to your own preference. Like I said, I don't like any of the aftermarket rear bumpers.

 

Kits are totally subjective. Personally after having a few, ill more than likely end up with an lipped oem kit ..

 

I'm looking at a C Wings carbon fiber body kit but I can't find anyone thats used one.

Any thoughts?

Is the autocraft rear bumper as posted above available for series 1 I can't find it anywhere, can it be modified to fit? I do paint and bodywork so I'm sure I can make it work. Does anyone have a used one?
