If you are serious about the conversion then contact Mazmart. They are parting out a 2009 RX8 and appears to still have the front/rear bumper, lights and fenders.

That site obviously produces replica kits but dam that looks nice. Anyone know who actually created that bumper? They also have a CF lip that is interesting and would like to know who is the creator.

The bumper is $285 USD and is FRP. I want to know who originally made it so I can check out what else they have to offer.

Its a replica co. but for that price it would almost be worth the effort needed to make it fit,,,

You guys are wrong, you are both judging the fitment based on 1 picture where the guy didn't install the lights properly.

Here is another guy in Japan, that put the 09 lights on the previous model year make.. Notice the fitment!?! Almost, perfect fitment..

Yeah I think the point is that there realy is no fitment issue, the 09s are designed not to be flush with the trunk and bumper. Its just that people are trying to dictate that the 04-08 just looks better all around...

Actually, I'm making my judgement on comparing my car to an 09 at the dealership and looking how the lights are different shape and the bumper below the light is a different shape. The 04-08 bumper will have to be modified to make it work... it's not a direct swap. Those pics that you posted look good though, so obviously it can be done well.

Take a look at these. The red line is the bumper shape that is different. The yellow line shows that the 09 light is taller overall (actually extends down lower which you can see by the longer distance from the key hole to the bottom of the housing).
