Looks like the rebar has been removed. (The white styrofoam behind the front bumper, see picture included). I'm not sure if it's required by state laws, but I would check.
I'd also be worried about getting in a wreck and the insurance not covering the front bumper repairs since the rebar was removed.
Definitely put the rebar back in and get a plastic cover on the grill portion.

Kit looks good. Too bad it wasn't available 2 months ago.

I'll just answer this question since I am the owner of the car above. The color match is pretty good from what I can see, the shop did a great job. I think you might be refering to the lip of the front bumper, the bottom of the side skirt, and the rear lip of the diffuser. I chose to have it painted a darker grey which all real Mazdaspeed kits have.

The exhaust I am currently running is the HKS Legamax which has been turning gold lately but I think its possible to clean it off with some metal polish.

I will post up pictures of my car and a video clip of the exhaust as soon as I have time. Sorry, I haven't been keeping updated with the boards much.

BTW, thank you Aerowerks for hooking it up with a free kit and Autowerks for doing a good job on installing and painting it.

Adrian, the rebar does fit but I decided not to include it because it will show up behind the grill. I may plan to put it in later on by painting it black. But remember, you cannot paint the rebar with black spray paint since it is made of syrofoam. You will have to find some kit of art paint and paint it on with a brush.

Watch out for any frontal accidents... I checked with my insurance company and they said if I alter any of the "safety" mechanisms of my car, it will be my fault and a possible loss on my part. They will not cover it they said. This is 20th Century insurance... hmmm...

Hey Minh,

I’m glad that you finally decided to reveal yourself. It was pleasure working with you. We really appreciate all your help and coorperation in making a smooth fitment and installation process. I hope you’re enjoying your new kit.

[adrian-1]
What you see on Minh’s car is a two-tone paint job. Some individuals like there to be a slight or big difference for appearance reasons. What you see is the color that Minh decide to paint so no, your eyes are not seeing things.

This is a good example of the two tone effect…

[Outlaws eXtreme]
That’s for the information. It’s a good idea to put the piece back on. After all, you want to be insured for your parts.

Drive Safely,
WILL

Great work guys! Hopefully you get your vendor info worked out soon, I would like to see pricing on this.

Although I'm pretty damn poor now...at least I know how much to grab from the bank before I start running away.

I can't give the exact measurements but here's a thread that talks about it. Hope it helps. Next person to have it install, I'll personally measure it for you...

Great question richie! Will you?

Will you just make a front spoiler as a seperate purchase, provided that someone else in Melbourne or in Australia wants another set... do you just make or ship the front spoiler?

You may want to contact the people posting THIS AD on ebay. It says fiberglass, and it's not your name.

Unbelievable how within a week of you posting pictures, some schmuck steals them and claims that it's his work.

We have already been contacted by 2 people from AUS and we have no problem with shipping overseas. We just need your exact shipping address. It takes about a day or two to get the exact price from the shipping company.

If you are close to someone overseas and want to have it ship directly to 1 person, we have no problem with that as well. You just have to work that out with each other. We will ship it to who ever pays the entire cost. It might be a good idea to think about, It would help with shipping cost.

This applies for the entire kit or separate pieces.

Thanks for the heads up. Doesn't surprise me much but it really saddens me that people do that.

umm for the paint, how hard will it be for Veloci Red? I mean if I get it I would want the gold flakes but wouldn't it cost a fortune?

BTW your sites down. How much is the cost of the full kit?

It seems to me and my friend found out that the rear under spoiler is hung a bit too high compare to the real mazdaspeed kit... so that results in the diffuser part does not look as nice or the diffuser isn't as steep as the MS kit? just want to know if we can be able to re-adjust the rear under spoiler a bit lower? Will it still fit perfectly without any gap?

Probably we are too picky? or they are slightly different?

cheers,

richie

Haha, you have a very good eye! I thought no one would know. I notice that a couple days after I got my car and Autowerks said they would fix it for me. Its not a hard fix, just relocate and drill new holes.

That's more of a paint shop question. I see that your from Florida so I advise that you look around and ask people how much they will charge for the job. If you provide them with the paint code and details, most shops will give you a good estimate. However, make sure you go to a reputable shop with experience in painting, places like Maaco simiply doesn't cut it!

The site should be up and running, I just checked it. It might have just went down for a bit. Thanks and let me know if I can provide any additional help.

You both have great eyes. It's actually just a minor mistake and has nothing to do with fitment. When I saw his car a couple days ago, I was wondering why it looked like that. I was going to suggest a drop (and why not some rims!) but the guys at Autowerks told me what happened. Believe me, the great thing about AutoWerks is that this rarely happens, but if it does, they make sure they fix it right.

There's nothing better for a Body Shop than a happy customer who tells his/her friends.

sohcpunk... i was wondering how the clearance is ... after you got your kit... when you go over bumps and dips... is it forgiving or do you have to try your best not to scrape the bottom of the kit..... oh and can you PM me the price for the paint job at autowerks please... i am really interested in purchasing the kit :P

The clearance is awesome without a drop car and the aerowerks MS kit. I think I can go through dips pretty good without scratching. Regarding the price I paid for the paint and installation at autowerks, lets just say they gave me a good deal because I was chosen to do the test fitment. You should PM Will (Aerowerksonline) and ask him how much he is charging because I have no idea how much he wants to charge for painting and installation.

I have not had the time to bring my car in to get the rear apron readjusted. It might be in a few weeks. I'll definitely post pics when its done
