I don't have those in a test map he sent me. Never got an actual starter map because my emails for one went unanswered as he was in his supercharger phase .... this is the basic problem to his overall token strategy. Good luck getting him to respond.

Any idea on how the Mazda dwell numbers can be translated into real world measurements of "ms"?
I have the MSD coils, and they do work great, but I only have a "guessed at by multiplication" dwell setting; the stock coils are X ms, my coils are Y ms; so I use the percentage to make my guess.

3.5 for stock, 5ms for GM coils.... the whole dwell table needs to jump up 140-ish%

80C is WAY to low to bring the fans on - they will be on continuously at that setting .
Put fan 1 and fan2 at the same temp and fan 3 at a slightly higher temp as Mazda do .
I do 91 , 91 , 94

Having just returned back to the Rx8/pro tuner sceen, after 2/3 year grap/ break -- I've seen you post the same basic statment a few times -- You Weren't the Only One, I was one of the First Beta Testers, and Payed More than a 1 K.
Pro tuner may/ can be a Pain, But people like Brett have got it working OK.

As for the Cobb -- LOL -- Haven't seen any posts of anyone down Under With It ???

Except I never got a reply for my base map so I have software, but no tuning map to work with my car so I was completely ripped off plain and simple. Now I've moved on to Windows7 and the Dudelogger software isn't working so I can't even retrieve my vehicle data for a base tune submittal. The whole token setup is fubar BS.

Not that I care now other than the financial loss because the Cobb Accessport with AccessTuner software trumps the ProTuner in every regard. I can appreciate his personal situation, but never even replying to business customers is no excuse. Business us business and there are obligations to paying customers regardless.

I know of a couple in NZ that have it but at the time they bought MMs service was so bad neither of them bothered to get tuned .

You can't get ATR for JDM 8s so going through MM is the only option these days - luckily his service "doesn't suck" now ...

Only the 2005 and up HiPower Aussie ROMs are supported.
I have about 25 customers in the Land Down Under. Another dozen Kiwis.
They are a mix of JDM and AUDM ROMs.

^ well that means I'm stuffed. I was thinking about changing to access port as I currently can't change my injectors in pro-tuner.

Does ProTuner have the ability to add parameters by address?
If I had a copy of your rom, I could probably find the locations.

^ hymee never got that far. he announced he was developing an application to explore and edit the map definitions but I guess it was shelved due to other stuff.

I have the Pro-tuner files but they might not be in the same rom fomat mazda uses.

It has to be made specifically for your VIN and model year or it won't load. This is how he controlled the token system to prevent unauthorized use of the software on other vehicles. Nobody can get a hold of the guy, yet he's now trying to start a Hymee catback muffler system sale through a 3rd party in the Aussie forum rather than come here and address any of this himself. What a louse ....

^ well I do have my files associated with my VIN so editing a value or two should work.

I don't hold a grudge to hymee. sometimes businesses don't work out. I bought pro-tuner with the knowledge it was a beta project. the price tag was high but at that point I had nothing. the emanage system was crap can only motec and microtech would work with the crank trigger. both would have cost more than pro-tuner that has worked very well for me (limitations aside).

I'm pretty sure that the fix was part of an automatic update . When you open Protuner it first communicates with Hymee's website asking if there are any updates . Whether the site is still active I don't know . I have not seen any updates for 2-3 years .

Pro Tuner also runs well on Windows Vista, and using a dual boot setup is probably the best way if you also want to have Windows 7 on your computer.
I do know that Hymee was working to get Protuner to work with Windows 7, but I don't know if he succeded or not.
If you have one of the newer versions of the Protuner bricks and are trying to load this up on Windows XP, you might find it will not recognise the brick due to updates in the bricks USB components.
Therefore your choice of operating software might be limited to Windows Vista only.

lol I have almost as much reason to be bitter at the situation as you.

I have bricked my pcm with it and PT doesn't quite have all the functionality it needs. with the bricking of the pcm the system has "cost" about $1600 which is most of the way to a motec.

however hymee helped me out to get me running, I knew it was a beta and it has served me well since I started using it. the additional costs due to the bricked pcm were not hymee's fault just the dealer stuffing round ( I ended up fixing the issue my self when the service tech was on the phone).

if you didn't get a tunable map then hymee should have refunded your money.

I hope hymee sorts out the business and can offer some more support as flash tuning is dead in the water for a lot of us. I only wish hymee went more open source so the community could continue with working out the flash tuning.

As an aside : I now have done over 200 flashes with the PT and am convinced the "bricking " issue happens only when you do something wrong (yes I have done it - twice) .

Why doesn't it have an "un-bricking" routine like the AP? Seems simple enough and always works.

I tried to get my money back, but I don't necessarily care to hang out all the laundry in public. I could have gotten at half my money back selling it to someone else, but he backed out after not being able to get any kind of reply from Hymee. Let's just say that I didn't wise up to overall situation with his beta projects until later. Whether or not he's a nice guy who had the best intentions is irrelevant. We could have the same debate about Scott/Mazsport, etc.

Mark tried to incorporate that but the software didn't work - like Team said ... it was never complete .

I have the injector sizes now and that was the only thing I was missing incase I needed to increase the fueling.
